March 31, 2022 at 8:01 pm #169554The same is happening on my Win10 PC. 8.9992 is downloaded and installed but installed version does not change and causes the addon to be downloaded and installed everytime DugiGuides1,52 is started.
March 31, 2022 at 9:01 pm #169555FYI.
Same here. Shows 8.9992 as newest.
8.9991 as installed.
Auto downloads and Installs but…
Errors out stating that cannot find WOW directory. Only Retail on this machine.
“Reinstall”, Settings “Repair”, and Manually selecting “Retail” directory.
Same Error….
Doublechecked directory “Access” and even added extra permissions.
Verified Battlenet” was updated as well @ 9.2.0.42979
“Help”!March 31, 2022 at 9:39 pm #169556Same here. The installer doesnt update the retail version to 8.9992.

April 1, 2022 at 12:16 am #169560Same as above, tried auto update and manual update. loads as 8.9991
iMacApril 1, 2022 at 10:53 am #170392@everyone I hope you know that for now you can install the guides manually. I’m sorry iMac users, there’s no manual download, there should be, perhaps Dugi can look at that as well as fixing the issue with the installers.

I’m sorry iMac users, there’s no manual download, there should be, perhaps Dugi can look at that as well as fixing the issue with the installers.I know this will be very annoying having to do this manually, for now, manual is the only way that will work until Dugi fixes this, please have some patience. While doing this manually, please ensure that the Dugi Installer is not running, download and extract the .zip file to your AddOns folder, instructions are in the Members area. Until Dugi fixes the issue found in the installer refrain from using it until it is fixed. Dugi will announce when he fixed it. I just wish I can help those of you that use iMac.April 1, 2022 at 5:04 pm #169566Thanks, And as they say $**t happens….love the product, problems/issues happen every so often. They are minor compared to some of the other add-ons I’ve had.April 1, 2022 at 6:15 pm #169567This worked for me – so do this at your own risk.
As all the files have the timestamp of the last time I ran the installer, I assumed that the only thing wrong was that the version number was not changed. I edited the file “DugisGuideViewerZ.toc” and replaced 8.9991 with 8.9992 on both lines at the top of the file.
The installer now gets the right version number as what is currently installed and no longers repeatedly reinstalls the files.
One final assumption being made here is that Dugi will increment the version number when he fixes the problem so that it will overwrite the changes I made when the next update is pushed out.
Cheers,
ChrisApril 2, 2022 at 4:08 am #170387I have just tried this on my friends iMac.- Ensure that the Dugi Installer is not running.
- Download the DugiGuides_Retail_8.9992.zip from the Members page.
- Extract the .zip file to: /Applications/World of Wacraft/_retail_/Interface/AddOns/
- Allow files to be overwritten.
- Run the game to verify that it’s there.
Yes, the DugisGuideViewerZ.toc file needs to be edited from 8.9991 to 8.9992.
It should look like this when edited, save and then run game to verify.(You may need to use Notepad++ or something similar, so you can clear the read only by right clicking the Document Folder with in Notepad++, doing this will save heart ache in File Explorer. See Pic.)## Title: DugiGuidesViewer |cffffffff8.9992|r
