Feast of Winter Veil 2016 Guide

Running from December 16th through January 2nd, Winter Veil updates for 2016 include:

•  Disposable Winter Veil Suits is a new toy which sets out a festive clothes chest for your friends. There are Red and Green holiday outfits, in both pants and shorts versions.

  • The outfits can be viewed in Wowhead’s database and modelviewer: Finely-Tailored Red Holiday Outfit – Male, Finely-Tailored Red Holiday Outfit – Female, Finely-Tailored Green Holiday Outfit – Male, Finely-Tailored Green Holiday Outfit – Female
  • Not confirmed where this gift is from, but it is likely from  Gently Shaken Gift as last year’s present  Red Wooden Sled has moved to the  Stolen Present
• The 2016 Winter Veil Gift is  Endothermic Blaster and awards the achievement Brr… It’s Cold in Here. This is a reference to the character Mei from Overwatch.
• Catch Greatfather Winter sledding around Legion – he’ll wish you Happy Winter Veil and give you 500.
• Holiday decorations like wreathes in capital cities have received visual updates; they are now higher-resolution.
•  Miniature Winter Veil Tree has been updated to ilvl 835. However, the 7.1.5 PTR Version caps out at ilvl 830 and scales to your level at the time of looting.
• Dalaran, Ironforge, and Orgrimmar have snowglobes; when you enter it you turn into a gnome.
• Illysanna Ravencrest and King Deepbeard wear and drop  Finely-Tailored Green Holiday Hat; Talixae Flamewreath wears and drops  Finely-Tailored Red Holiday Hat
• The Abominable Greench now scales to your level and deals level-appropriate damage, similar to the Legion Invasion technology!
• New Winter Veil music was also added.

Winter Veil is a great time for players to do the following in-game:

• Complete the meta-achievement Merrymaker for Merrymaker %s.
• Acquire  Stolen Present for killing the The Abominable Greench and freeing Metzen the Reindeer in You’re a Mean One…. This has a chance to contain a number of toys!
• Obtain battle pets like Grumpling and Rotten Little Helper.
• Loot presents underneath the Ironforge and Orgrimmar tree for goodies like  Red Wooden Sled and  Warm Red Woolen Socks.
• Collect fun fashion items like  Red Winter Hat and  Pattern: Green Winter Clothes, as well as weapon illusions for transmog like  Winter’s Grasp and  Flames of Ragnaros.
• Complete Garrison dailies for decorations like  Imported Trees and a small chance at  Minion of Grumpus.
