Changes in 2018

•  At Least You’re Being Careful is the achievement for the 2018 holiday gift –  Toy Armor Set /  Toy Armor Set

  • Alliance:  Wooden Toy Helm and  Alliance Toy Cape
  • Horde:  Wooden Toy Helm and  Horde Toy Cape
•  Greatfather Winter’s Hearthstone is likely from the Gently Shaken Gift.
• Last year’s special present, the Hearthstation, has likely moved to the Stolen Present (unconfirmed).
•  Miniature Winter Veil Tree is updated to ilvl 335 at level 120.

Changes in 2017

•  Hearthstation/ Hearthstation is a new toy which sets out an “improved” Hearthstone table to play!

  • Not confirmed where this gift is from, but it is likely from  Gently Shaken Gift as last year’s present  Disposable Winter Veil Suits has likely moved to the  Stolen Present
• The 2017 Winter Veil Gift is  Toy Weapon Set/ Toy Weapon Set and awards the achievement  Don’t Play With That In The House. The items will probably allow you to spar with other players with special abilities, much like during the World Quest  Jed’hin Tournament. This creates adorable toy weapons!  Wooden Toy Axe,  Wooden Toy Sword,  Wooden Toy Shield,  Wooden Toy Shield.
• A new pet was added: Globe Yeti, which spawns inside the Snow Globes.
•  Glowing Gift is a new drop in  Stolen Present.  Miniature Winter Veil Tree is updated to ilvl 880.

• More Legion bosses drop festive hats:

  • Krosus in the The Nighthold –  Finely-Tailored Red Holiday Hat
  • Saprish in the The Seat of the Triumvirate –  Finely-Tailored Red Holiday Hat
  • Varimathras in Antorus, the Burning Throne –  Finely-Tailored Green Holiday Hat

Winter Veil is a great time for players to do the following in-game:

• Complete the meta-achievement Merrymaker for Merrymaker %s.
• Acquire  Stolen Present for killing the The Abominable Greench and freeing Metzen the Reindeer in You’re a Mean One…. This has a chance to contain a number of toys!
• Obtain battle pets like Grumpling and Rotten Little Helper.
• Loot presents underneath the Ironforge and Orgrimmar tree for goodies like  Red Wooden Sled and  Warm Red Woolen Socks.
• Collect fun fashion items like  Red Winter Hat and  Pattern: Green Winter Clothes, as well as weapon illusions for transmog like  Winter’s Grasp and  Flames of Ragnaros.
• Complete Garrison dailies for decorations like  Imported Trees and a small chance at  Minion of Grumpus.
