My favorite 1-60 zone leveling area is.. lol ANY area where I can level without dying by the hand of the opposite faction while trying to do so. Since I play both factions, it just all depends on who I’m on at the time.

Seriously, I find that most all zone have something that is likable and fun to play. There are areas that are my least favoirte but all in all, the complete game has something great to offer no matter what area you are in. Dugi’s guides can make it that much more enjoyable by insuring one does not miss a single thing!

My favorite zone is the goblin starting zone (lvl 1 to 10). I have never laughed so hard as I completed each quest in that area. Blizzard got it right when they intoduced the goblins and their querky ways, especially when i first tuned the radio into a pokka station while riding in my hot rod.

Hi, my favorite place is Stoneatlon Mountains.. I really love how they remaked the place, and the history is absolutely amazing. How the Alliance tries to defend their village, but the horde still bombs their tree. And then they want revenge by the character has to kill 20 hordes with their machines is amazing πŸ™‚

      hey,

mi favourite zone is definetly Un Goro. I just like this dungle felling and all the dinos running around. But i haven’t seen all the recreated zones yet. πŸ˜‰

      Hi Dugi,

My favorite 1-60 zone is by far, the Ghostlands

This is the zone that pretty much got me hooked to World of Warcraft. I remember when I started my first character (Blood Elf Priest), I felt really connected to the game doing the quests. I had no idea what I was doing as I was a complete newbie to this game. However, I got more interested in the exploration and questing in this zone more than any of the other zones. I also felt like leveling in this zone was probably the most fun because I got to learn more about my priest and his abilities. I also thought the layout of the zone was simply awesome!

You have to have fun in order to want to play it more and more. I thought this zone delivered the most fun for me. So much, that I make blood elves alt characters simply for the Nostalgia factor. My Priest is now level 85 and time and time again do I come back to this zone and sometimes help out the other newbies here while chatting with my guild or doing some work out of window.

I would have to say that my favorite zone is Tirisfal Glades. Although it is a low level area, it brings back memories of when I started my first character. The storyline introduced in this area is definitely my favorite. You can’t really beat the undead, I mean who doesn’t love zombies?

Badlands -> Searing Gorge. It takes both of these zones to get you to 50, but the Day Deathwing Came alone is worth doing this route over Tanaris, however Tanaris is still a great zone. Come to think of it, Felwood isn’t bad either. All three are strong zones, but I have to give a slight edge to Badlands.

The reason why i like Badlands is due to i like the Uldaman instance where everything can go wrong if someone loots a boss they are not spost to or we get lead the wrong way through the instance as its a maze for new commers into the instance. and also the other reason why i like uldaman is that there are so many bosses in there for experience and loot, the consept of the instance is that it may seem really tedius when you first get there, but its easy to get used to after a few runs; a bit like Karazan.

      A Thousand Needles!

Before Cataclysm it was awesome. Awesome Heights and Depths πŸ˜‰
Now in the last expansion it has been upgraded to awesome awesomeness. l0lz

(I don’t play WoW Retail, but on private server, so if i win an in-game pet, i want to choose a random poster here to get it.)
(If i win the guides, I could really need them, also when i’m not on retail, I love to use those guides.)

I think my favorite now is Redridge Mountains, with the additional story line added and all the additional characters(J. Keeshan and group), it made it more enjoyable and fun to go through.

I really love the chain quests in winterspring, from the ghosts on the lake, to the scarry little yeti quest
plus there is a very Nice farming spot for rugged leather in the yeti cave, and rugged leather always sells for high price on my server
I also love the calm snow weather, when you are trying to reach 58/59/60 so you can continue questing in outland ofc
I think every zone have a downsite but i can’t find any in winterspring
Even after cataclysm, i still think winterspring is the most awesome leveling zone of all!

    • Gillrocte

My all time favorite zone is Winterspring. For one I think the landscape is beautiful. There are tons of interesting creatures to kill and skin. My all time favorite rare spawn, Rak’Shiri resides here. I have tamed him on 5 hunters! Not super thrilled about his new skin color, but he is still awesome! I spent a lot of time here when the Cap was 60, then even more time getting exalted with the Wintersaber trainers to get my Reins of the Winterspring Frostsaber. Was really cool back in the day, riding him with Rak running next to me.

I love Stranglethorn! I’m a complete sucker for rich green/forest/jungle areas and this place is divine. It always takes me longer to level through these levels because I love the questlines there. I’ve finished the Green Hills of Stranglethorn on all of my toons and I was so excited to get to Northrend so I could find Hemit Nesingwary in yet another “green zone”. I love the animals and the mix of different types of area within this one zone.

    • Stokenomates

Elwynn Forest ’cause it’s the easiest. My character ‘Stokenoob’ is at level 1.

    • Wes Nyle

Alliance– eastern kingdoms. CSI: Miami spoof, J.J. Keeshan, Warcraft II Parody, the amazing WPL quest lines, EPL’s awesome troll Drood, ANDORHOL… it’s hard to compete!

    • Coberguy

My favorite instance zone is Scarlet Monastery. I tend to have casters as characters and that zone is full of great loot for those classes. I also love it as it is a great place to level up. Back in the day it was a great place to get a guild run together and have fun killing bad guys !!!

    • Bloodymist

Favorite 1 – 60 lev. zone? A difficult choice, since there are so many. πŸ˜€
Have played since the vanilla days and liked most areas both before and after the Cataclysm changes.
For someone who always have had problems finding the way around (RL is no exception πŸ˜‰ ) it is nice with all the new flightpaths.

Only thing is getting to Badlands for the Horde side. :/
I tried the “waterway” (swimming) and after a long time in the water I landed on Azuremyst Isle, which is a very interesting zone for a young warrior in late level fourties (an alt). Not sure why I’m always ending up in situations like this. πŸ˜› Learned to know that zone very well from dying very often to get closer to the exit so I finally could go to Badlands. Quite exciting actually. πŸ˜€ Had both Alliance- and Horde players looking funny at me. πŸ˜€
Thank’s to a very kind Hordie asking: “What on earth are you doing here?” and he was kind enough to offer to help me to the border so I could move on to Badlands. πŸ˜›

So I think Badlands is my favourite zone, because it was so much fun getting there. πŸ˜‰ (At least for now)…
Loved the “The Sorrow and the Fury” quest, very touching. Still have the little dragon trinket to help me out in difficult times. πŸ˜‰ I have always loved dragons so I really hated to kill Nyxondra, but were fun to fight side by side with the “Vikings” from New Kargath. πŸ™‚

The old Barrens back in the days, when i started playing when the game came out, i loved the sound there in the night time, and spent lots of time there becurse the quests was mutch harder back then, as we had no addons at all. And had to read the bad written quests and understand them, many times we just ran around like headless chickens, and somtimes we found a quest opjective, witch took hourers back then. Thanks Dugi for doins sutch at great job on the quest guid.

    • Alexander

My favorite zone must be Thousand Needles because before cata the zone was just boring and something you had to go through. But after cata Blizzard completely changed the zone and now its my favorite because you get a River Boat that you can sail in in the whole zone.

    • Tim

I liked the pre-Cata Ashenvale. Not only were there a gazillion interesting quests, but the zone is just plain beautiful on the eyes. I think the visual appeal of Ashenvale cemented my love of WoW from the moment my first character got to that zone
