My favorite for leveling is Bloodmyst Isle, The Draenei area is very under used. It has a lot of quick easy quests, lots of mats for crafters, very little competion. You can relax & enjoy playing the game while getting those pesky lvls up.

The Scarlet Monastery. I liked the concept of the hub dungeon, and the way you had to gain access to the next section. There was a real feeling of accomplishment downing the bosses.

My favorite zone is Stonetalon. It was not just the break from the Barrens but the interaction with the Alliance NPC’s and the fact you were climbing a mountain. I still love that zone.

i would have to say Eversong Woods is my favorite leveling zone because its where my journey as a wow player started. i work overnight at wal-mart and my co-workers where taking about the game and the new expansion coming out in a few weeks. so i wait til release of burning crusade to buy the game. i was not sure about it because i had seen screenshots of vanilla wow because and thought it was too much like a cartoon. we we talked on yahoo while the game was being installed. i told them; “i hope this is worth it.” they replied, “it will be, trust us.” it finished installing and i logged in after making a blood elf pally. after it loaded and i started watching the cutscene i was in aw. the combination of colors and landscape took it all. i enjoying just walking around and looking at everything and every detail. i also enjoy the questline in that zone it made me feel like i was meant to be there. i still play through that zone every now and again to get my motivation back to play wow. i have been ever since 🙂

ps: thank you very much for making this wonderful game even more enjoyable to play.

My favorite 1-60 dungeon is Gnomeregan. This is especially true because I was an engineer and I really enjoyed being able to use my Gnomish Remote control to go back in and start using the robots against each other. There was just something funny in being able to use these robots to kill each other.

    • celso

the stratholme because it vary esy to do

    • Janet

Since Cata was released my favorite zone is Uldum. I have always like the Egyptian culture, plus who does not like Indiana Jone story line :).

    • Gin

The Badlands !!! Zomg if you quested there before cata and didn’t like it…. give it another go 🙂 The day deathwing came… those quests are so fun and you get to ride and fly a chopper and pick your favorite sweety to ride with you too!! The rest of the zone and the story lines make you wanna complete the quests to do more and the cut scenes definitely are awesome. So if you want a break from the same ole everyday grinding in questing, go to the badlands to have fun and laugh and maybe even shed a tear.

Picture the scene: a brand new WoW player, just venturing out. You’ve picked a human – you’re going with what you know 🙂 – and you’re tiptoeing gently around, learning as you go. You find yourself in Elwynn Forest – merrily massacring Murlocks – and you spot a wolf on the other side of the river. You’re a skinner, so you think: “I’ll have some of that.” You swim over, noticing that this wolf is a little bigger than the ones you’ve come across thus far. “All the better for more leather”, you think. You target it, let fire and – the Duskwood Direwolf eats you in two seconds.
From that moment, Duskwood has always been my favourite zone – I get a bizarre sense of achievement with every kill. I’ve even been known to wander through with a Level 70, just to revenge that first mugging. Fear me, Dire Wolves, fear me.

I like so many areas, but to pick just one… I’d have to say my favorite one is the Azuremist Isle and Exodar areas. I have I have always liked leveling there. Exodar has such vibrant colors.

    • Arjo

Would be the plain simple Elwynn forest. Altough i’m ******** horde. I like the way it’s just a regular almost real life forest 🙂 And i love to often take a walk in the forest that’s almost next door with my dog.

    • Remus

My favorite early zone is Strangthorn Vale. I like the jungle atmosphere, and the Nesingwary beast quests are almost unbeatable in terms of building lots of experience quickly…at least if you don’t mind a bit of grinding. And I like the way it builds to a climactic beast battle, which ends up part of an Achievement.

There are sooo many. One of my first experiences in WoW and favorite dungeons is Wailing caves. It was my favorite because everytime I go in with new charecters i always have a blast. Before Duigi guide, I would be spending hours and countless verbal assaults from new members complaining about how they never been here and where to go. It was a confusing dungeons because it as soo many turns and twist. The paths are not so direct. I remember my first charecter which was a ORc warrior and had to tank and lead the party. I was soo lost and could not taunt or even hold aggro. everyone was soo pissed at me and called me everyname in the book. There was no maps of the zones. I did not know what gear to get and anything about my speccs. SO i spend the whole day basically looking for these bosses and finally finished the zone. I was sooo frustrated and drained. I then discovered the Duigi guides and now i never have an issue. I now go to WC on my own and finally know where Im going and Im still the same Orc Warriror.

I have played for 4 years, and leveled many toons. Right now I have 5 level 85’s and a host of other toons ‘in the process’. I have seen alot, but I was most impressed with the new Aszhara zone. the questing is laid out so easily, and in order, that even being a ‘pure noob’ would be no excuse for not advancing. I love the Goblins and all their techno prowress. I remember the 1st time I jumped on the rail system with my mount and started running on it, somebody passed me on the rocket mount laughing at my stupidity. Then when I took the 1st rocket ride around the whole system and got the achievemnt , I actually could feel the thrill of the ride. I liked the new quest completion system of not always having to run back the the quest giver. The Goblins have certainly added a great new way of life to WOW, it is ashame that it doesn’t play as much in higher levels. Well, that’s my 2 cents worth up on a soap box. Thanks Dugi for all you do, I have really used your guide with reat success and a pleasure to use, even with my 4 years of experience.

My favourite zone has to be Azshara.

What was once a boring and pointless place to quest/ level, is now one of the most unique places in WoW. It is a map of many firsts. A new horde player will experience phasing, controlling vehicles, mini games & of course blowing up giants., all for the first time.

This map really shows why WoW is the number 1 MMORPG. The rocketway is simply amazing, both graphically and as a game mechanic. There are too many references to popular culture to list, but needless to say they make you laugh each time.

If I was to show a zone to a friend that has never played, it would be Azshara.

    • DARKSEID...

My favorite zone is BADLANDS for THREE GREAT REASONS:

      (1) It was the first zone I that had some CHALLENGING quests for me;
      (2) It had the whole “The Day Deathwing Came” Questline, which was HILARIOUS; and
      (3) It had the most AMAZINGLY WRITTEN QUESTLINE with the finale of “RHEASTRASZA’S GIFT” where Deathwing FINALLY arrives and lays down some DEVASTATION.

BADLANDS has EASILY become the best zone after the revamp in Cataclysm (before LVL 60, of course)!

What are your thoughts? Agree, or disagree with me?

My favorite zone is Cape of Stranglethorn. I realle like the map und the design of it. It’s simply awesome 😀

    • Shell

My favorite zone The Cape of Stranglethorn. I love the pirate theme and the fact the quests are grouped together. ARRGH matety is a fine time.

    • Mike G

My fave zone is Cape of Stranglethorn, interaction with the goblins always cracks me up. Talking to a gremlin with no fur makes me laugh.
You cant tell me you havent looked at Captain Keelhaul and thought of Stripe from the Gremlins movie….or maybe its just me!
Round that off with winding up the pirates, this is a fun zone.

    • Pappagallo

      My favorite zone is Teldrassil.

It has excited me from the beginning, with its tall trees and deep forests, an enchanted landscape, which for a new player of World of Warcraft is a fantastic ambience in perfect style fantasy. The lore is huge and even the secondaries stories (with their quest) are not bad …
Then slowly from a magical scenery switches into an adventure that involves a lot, the quiet of the tree-island becomes a place where the infestation of the animals and corruption are a constant danger …
What can I say, it’s all a mix of fantastic things to make try new players all the substance of World of Warcraft that a player will face in the next levels.
