Have tested out some of the cata changed zonez and my favorit must be the forsaken around brill silverpine forest and foothill, most because of the story and you get to know more about Sylvana windrunner. and after the nurning crusade Exil in undead are fast and fun, so big thumbs up for blizz making a raver dull place to be awsome. ricky27atonlinedotno

My favorite area is the new Goblin starting zone, the Lost Isles. It’s by turns quirky, industrial ghetto or vivid and lush jungle. They used a variety of quest methods – attaching boot rockets to fly over and scorch mobs, throwing bananas at monkeys, weed-whacking plants, taking pictures, whirling in a cyclone, flying in a gyrocopter and running over mobs on a trike bike – to break up the “kill quantity x of [insert name of mob here]” monotony. They continually transport you using a variety of methods (trike bike, panther, mine cart and rocket) instead of forcing you to run endlessly from place-to-place. Town-in-Box? Awesome! Strapping rockets to Wild Cluckers? Fun! The entire zone had me smiling or outright laughing, but the “Irresistable Pool Pony” quest where you lure Vashj’elan hatchlings while riding an inflatable pony (despite the “Want some candy, little girl?” tone) made the zone pure win – I would love if Blizzard released them as a water/under water mount! [Hint, Hint.]

Having immediate and easy access to mail, trainers and the bank was also refreshing.

LOL, man its funny that your doing this contest i e-mailed you about 4 months ago and told you how much i loved the free guide, but was laid off recently and couldnt get it yet ,well heres my chance, and yes still laid off. My favorite 1-60 area would have to be wetlands to arathi highlands its changed so much with cata its crazy and i love to still start mt toons over there and experience the new content the new elementals and all the new quests are perfect for these areas in my opinion. i just think its a blast to have so many different monsters in one or two places and that its changed so much.OH YEA DUGI,i just wanted to tell you i also love the plaugelands to and the feona`s caravan quests but i had a problem i must have missed somthin there cause i didnt get the achev. and thats why, well one of the reasons why i wanted the GUIDE so badly. ive looked online and for around 9 months now i couldnt find whatever it was i missed . and with your guide i know i would get that achev., so thx for a great free guide would love to have the whole thing but someday i will!!! thx dugi..

Turns out that achievement is actually bugged, and the Devs are aware of it, according to the GM I spoke to recently. Somehow, either the Goblin or Fiona herself doesn’t get counted for the caravan. (mine changes daily on my achievement tracker, go figure.) Hopefully they’ll get it figured out.

My favorite zone was Ashenvale back when it was just the vanilla WoW. THe content in that zone was done very well.my girlfriend and I spent alot of time there compared to most other zones.

I just say The Deadmines it´s a Classic 😉 , You can do it at low level and have some good drops and offen the first Dungeon for Ally, and later at lvl 85 you can do it again in Heroic mode. It´s perfect A Dungeon at the begining and do it at max lvl again but harder 😉

My favorite is the perfect costume line in the Burning Steppes where you don the costume of a Horde and do an amusing line of quests from stabbing leaders in the back to polishing boots. It’s all very funny and a nice break that Blizzard has added in.

I actually have to say I have two. I loved questing in Darkshore pre-cata. There was a lot of lore and storylines you come in contact with and since Night Elves have chains that lead them there, it held a bit of a sentimental aspect to it as well. Additionally, I loved Winterspring because not only is it covered with snow and you get a LOT or XP there, but you have the opportunity to get rep with the Winterspring Trainers. Yeah, it’s a bit tedious and time-consuming, but I mean how many people do you know that will actually go out of their way to get the rep? or better yet, how many people actually know where to START the quest chain in the first place? =)

My favorite questing area would be Ashen vale, I love the night elf lands, Right now I am leveling a druid there near the Mosh’garn Ramparts for the horde side and I am having alto of fun. It is a great place to work on professions. I am Herbalist and alchemy on my druid and I absolutely love the fact that I get to see so many herbs and not a lot of people are out there questing, I don’t usually run a lot of dungeons, so I try to pick less populated places as an opportunity to skill up my professions and level up as well. I think this general area is perfect for people around the high 20’s. It’s easy, its fun, and it has alot of things to do, plus you get to see some of what Deathwing has done first hand out there which is great to be able to see that.

      My favorite zone is wastelands and i like because i think it is a great storyline and there is always alot of players there to play with (;

    • Zamros

My favourite zone out of everything would probably be Durotar in Kalimdor.
I remember the memories of playing through it as an Orc on my first character ever in WoW and later again as a Troll. It really got to me as to how visually impressive it was for a very basic starter zone that is only really used for 1-10. My favourite part of the zone was definetly taking the first step into Orgrimmar and exploring for the first time.

I appoligize in advance for spelling (I’m on my phone).

Though it has been mentioned a few times already, my favorite zone by far is still Duskwood. The ambiance in that area is unmatched by other places. It has the music, the quests, and a decent plotline to make a new player feel frightened by the surrounding mobs. Every time you defeat some obstacle- wether it be killing Stiches or gathering items for those Dusky Crab Cakes, you feel like you accomplished something. Leveling there is a blast especially because it’s so dark there that the lighting effects from dinging make it exta special. Duskwood always gives that feeling of being wild and thoughts of ” Oh **** I may actually die” even though it has a rather large town. This is why even thought I may out-level the area on most of my characters, I still like to stroll around on foot and relive my past glories. I can’t wait to see what Blizz will do to it (if anything) in the up coming patches. Hopefully it’ll get spookier. 😀

My favorite dungeon is Stratholme. It is challenging and the rewards are awsome for the that level. And I still ran it as a level 80 and now as a level 85. It is still challenging to to see how fast you can complete the undead side. And I will keep going back until I get the elusive Deathcharger’s Reins.

As a hunter, taming pets has always been a motivation for me to go to different parts of Azeroth. Whether it be near the Great Sea for a pet crab, or near the mountains for a raptor, every area has different things to explore, and different beast to try to tame. My favorite level 1-60 zone has to be Stranglethorn Vale. There are so many beast, with many differnt abilities to tame and befreind. If you are a skinner/leatherworker this area has even more utility. It is such an important area that adds to the lore of World of Warcraft. If you arena at all, you know that the Gurubashi Arena is one of the most fun arenas to do battle in. One of the first areas that allowed world pvp as well, Stranglethorn Vale is by far one of the best, if not the best zone in game right now.

I love Westfall, buecase I have got a lot of good memories from the old Westfall. A lot of the memories is with my friends we always went there when we reached level 10. Then we did some quest and after that The Deadmines. The new Westfall is just awesome i love how Sentinel Hill
have been upgraded and i love the new story line in Westfall. So my favorite zone is deferentially Westfall, no doubt in that.

As a longtime player, I wanted to create new characters of every type in every zone, both hoard and alliance just to experience the changes. I took each of them up to level 10. Some were subtle. Some were in-your-face different. The speed and easiness of leveling was the first major change. Of the two new characters, the initial goblin zone was the strangest. It was full of eye candy, but surprisingly devoid of NPC interaction. There were fun things like the party and the football. And the “city in a box” was a really nice touch. The Worgan area was appropriately themed like a Gothic novel, but again was low on NPC action. Of the two, the eye candy of the goblin area was like “kitsch gone wild” and gets my vote as the best newbie on the block.

My first love will always be Azuremyst and Bloodmyst Isles. As so many others have said, I fell in love with my first experience in wow.
My husband and I both started Draenei characters and were stunned by the beauty, music, graphics and intricacy of the
game. Each day I opened wow was a joy and a delight to my eyes and ears and mind. I remember jumping up over and over to get my hubby to come
look….look….look. Watch this and see that and omg.!!! He is a graphic designer and Azuremyst and The Exodar were very reminiscent of some of the artwork he had done in the past. I loved that he was as enthralled as I with the game. His appreciation of the graphics was extraordinary and it takes quite a lot to impress him!

When we finally made it to The Exodar I remember being in awe at the level of detail. Every step I took inside that city was jaw-dropping. Moving through Bloodmyst Isle soon after gave me just a tiny glimpse of what was to come when going outside of the alliance zones .

I must add that the feeling of nostalgia and warm fuzzy remembrance of my first interactions in wow are duplicated when I go to Duskwood. I was exploring to see the sights and would soon be approaching my lvl 20 and at that time it was the first mount experience in the game. I however was woefully low on gold.

A lvl 60 mage stopped to help me as I struggled with some ghouls. He stayed and gave me some tips and showed me how to go about my quests more efficiently. No one in the game had been as friendly and I was very appreciative. He asked if I was excited to be getting my first mount and I literally jumped up and down and twirled and danced but shared that I might have to wait a bit until I got enough gold. He opened a trade window and
there was 10g. I closed the window and said I couldn’t take it. He reopened the trade and there was 50g. He said he had plenty of gold and not to worry, it would make him feel good to help. I was able to hit 20 the next day and run get my mount and ever after as I traversed Duskwood I smile and
remember my mage friend and his exceptional kindness.

Now that I am a jaded lvl 85 it was nice to relive the excitement of my first wow days. Thanks Dave for helping to bring all those awe filled memories back to me

I love the Eversong Woods area with all the magic-enriched environment.

    • AfoUare

My favorite area is STV. I am a early WOW player and play on a PVP server. STV was so much fun from Nesiwary’s camp, Kurzen’s compound, the areana, Zul’grub and Booty Bay all great. I had so much fun trying to avoid Horde players as I went through the story line quests. I liked it so much I wrote a short poem.

Trolls, Orges and Goblins, oh my….you spend most of your time trying not to die…..pirates and troll voodoo keep up the heat as your told what quests you need to complete……from Booty Bay should you take the boat….Rachet’s unknown, your mind says don’t….Gather friends, try to own the town….the bruisers and horde show they don’t want you around…..learn more about WOW pastary….as you try to earn Nesigwary’s mastery…… Then on to Zul’grub to defeat Hakkar……his minons make it difficult for your guild to go far……over and over your guild begins and begins…..with the death of Hakkar your guild finally wins!!! This zone is so big it never gets stale…..So to Stranglethorn Vale we all say…….All Hail!

I would have to say Dun Morogh. I started my first WOW character their. I still to this day every now and then go back to where I started to see how much it has changed.

      • Jim Hettick

I just started a Worgen last night and I really liked the inital quest zone but for all around experience, I liked Duskwood.

    • William Stockbridge

New Kargath, Badlands area is my favourite at the moment. I love how different it is. After levelling a few characters, a few areas had become extremely boring before Cata. I despised the Barrens.
In the new Badlands, I love that chap that jumps on spiders for poison. He’s too cute.
Some great new quests in that area now.
