My favorite areas are eastern and western Plaguelands. The quest line is varied and interesting and the variety of mobs is very pleasing.
My favourite zone is definitely Teldrassil for multiple reasons.
First of all, my first real character was a NightElf Hunter. I started playing this character because my ex-girlfriend talked me into trying WoW. Needless to say I have some amazing memories from that experience, exploring the World of Warcraft for the first time.
Second of all, do I even have to mention the music? The music in that zone is just freaking amazing. This soundtrack http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=R7639iIMqZ8 is simply one of the best soundtracks in the game as of now. I leveled up a NE again after Cata and this music really made Teldrassil an amazing experience.
Lastly is the way the landscape is shaped which is highly influenced by the NightElves and I’ve always been a fan of nature and things of the nature. I just love how NightElves are in contact with their nature and their landscape which you kinda get to experience during questing – not unlike the Na’vi people in Avatar.
I would have to say deadmines its the first real dungeon that was a challenge to me when i was leveling also it taught me alot about CCing mobs as well
A poem for my dearest zone:
She goes by the name Elwynn
Elwynn Forest, my love.
Nowhere I’ve seen a nature so beautiful and divers,
little rivers and creeks feed your untouchable flora.
The day I walked into your arms,
still grieved in my mind.
Days and weeks go by, but my love for you will never fly.
And just a little further, behold:
the mighty fortress of Stormwind City.
City of Heroes!!!!
Her walls will never fall, her foundations never crumble.
My city, my proud.
Countless days I’ve wandered trough your streets.
Base of my knowledge, base of my training.
Only the view of the horizon at the sea
on a lonely summer day
still makes a tear go by.
You’re my home, my shelter.
Sometimes to leave, but always to return.
One love, one city, one forest.
I give you Elwynn and Stormwind
Thank you
My favorite 1-60 zone is the new badlands, just being able to punch Deathwing in the face and then you get to throw him all the way back to Kalimdor. This just had in stitches.
Well I have been around since vanilla WoW and my how things have changed, including my favorite zone. Currently I believe my favorite zone is the new and improved Azshara. Great fun for the new goblin characters, i know rocket chickens and town in a box were awesome, but Azshara has a ROCKET SLED! I mean seriously a rocket sled.. I have brought all my characters there just to ride it and not only to get the achievement, but just for the outright fun of going to first person camera view and off we goon a wildly fun tour of the zone. Gotta hand it to them Goblins, they know how to party. Bravo!
My favorite is Thousand Needles. You get a boat!
I would have to say that my favorite would be UBRS (Upper Blackrock Spire). I still run it occasionally for fun as it brings back great memories of Old World original content when it took 10 players to run the instance. I enjoyed tanking this dungeon and would always jump at the call in chat: “Rend Run!”. Great content in this one and thanks, Dugi, for the great guides!.
I will never get over the beginning of my Druid training. It was all so new and magical. I loved how Blizzard had integrated the learning curve for a novice like me into an entertaining, beautiful, and intuitive structure. The unfolding stories were fascinating, the imagination and flow of action captivated me. I had never smiled and awed at my computer screen so much. The first time i entered Darnassus it was like a religious experience. It is still one of my favorite places in all the realms. The calm music, serene surroundings and just the spiritual earthy feel of it makes creating auctions, training, and banking pure pleasure. And the trees!!! oh my god the trees!!!!
I must say that I always was either laughing or had a smile while questing in Kezan and The Lost Isles. I especially loved wearing that ginormous helmet!
I have been playing wow since vanilla, and my first ever toon was a night elf warrior. I think because of this Teldrassil is still one of my favorite places. The area is just so pretty and it has been alot of fun seeing how much things have changed in deathwings wake.
i found westfall (cata) the best as the quest lines are very dynamic and there are alot of fun little quests that give you a break from doing the plain old boring kill and collect quests, i know i havent written much and im sorry but thts just about the only levelling area i seemed to like.
Well, this is kind of easy for me.
Having playing WoW since the original Vanilla release, I can say without a drop of doubt that my favorite zone is Tanaris.
The goblins have such a fun way of engaging quests, from the PLUCK robot chicken to noggenfogger, it’s just so entertaining to see how the goblins resolve their problems.
We must not forget the silithid, of course, and Ahn Qiraj, who is also my favorite raid instance of Vanilla WoW. I find the Silithid lore fantastic, poor misunderstood little creatures.
With the coming of cataclysm, I went back to the zone, and I must admit, it’s as much fun if not even better, goblins are going crazy, trolls are going crazeh too mon’, and the silithid… Well, they’re just bugs, they don’t give a ****.

My favorite level 1-60 place would have to be Western Plaguelands. The last place I used to go to hit that high level gear up and own n00bz. Not to mention the great storylines and quests. Also with one of the coolest dungeons back then, Scholomance, to top it off!
My favorite zone is Elwynn Forest. Made a lot of discoveries there. Me and a friend had a terrifying and, at the same time, a very funny experience. We were both newbies in the World of Warcraft and were going through some quests. We decided to go after Hogger, an elite lvl 11 gnoll that was causing some problems. When we found him, we discovered(the hard way) that he was too strong for us haha When we tried to run, we discovered that he would chase us. We were freaking out, when we finally got to the river and thought we would get rid of him, we discovered that gnoll knew how to swim haha He chased us all the way to the bridge south of there, until one of the guards killed him! It was quite a rush! To this day i cant swim in a river without looking out for angry gnolls!
My best memories come from the original Barrens. I was new to the game (5-5-2005) and started my undead warlock in Tirisfal Glades. I was only level 8 when my buddies summoned me to Crossroads and I was amazed at the night and day difference of the zones. I was also freaked out being surrounded by high level mobs, but my friends were in their 40’s so I was well protected. They ran me over every inch of the zone questing and doing world PvP protecting Crossroads. Good times.
I’ll be honest with you, nothing has made me laugh so hard and enjoy the game as the Gnomeregan starting zone level 1-5. The unfolding of the story is engaging to me. The idea of this tiny little wise gnomes managing to create such a catastrophe for their kind is both a lesson and quite a story. Once I bit into the storyline of the gnomes and met Mekkatorque, I was hooked with the guilty pleasure of Gnomes.
My Favorite is Durotar
Stratholme ! Brings back the old memories, took 10 man just to complete it, man i love those days.
Brings back great memories from the old world pvp en 40 man raids etc.
WoW changed alot, i like it ofcourse but i miss the old azeroth for sure.
I did try out your free guide and i loved it, i just dont have the money to pay it all, so here is my shot!
Greetings from the netherlands 😉
