Thunder bluff with it wide open spaces and plenty of herbs, ripe for the picking in making gold when i run low, they are always a great gold maker, oops there goes my secret, lol

My favorite dungeon is Gnomeregan. Just for the sheer frustration. I have yet to be part of a group who completes it. Usually my luck is the “TANK” doesn’t know what he/she is doing and the party wipes a few times them people leave and I end up being the only one and have to quit as well.

The reason that makes it my favorite is because it’s one that is always new to me because I’ve never completed it.

my favorite zone would have to be western plaguelands. it was the first zone i actually started questing in and was quite enjoyable and now after all the changes it is even more so now. great story and interesting progresions.

My favorite zone is redridge mountains. It is my favorite because it was the first I ever quested in. I was at my friends house and he let me play on his new level 15 character I loved it and I have been playing ever since then. 🙂

I would have to say it has been Deadmines. It was my first dungeon with a group of friends early on a Saturday morning and the joking and banter with friends was great but when we got to the ship and had to beat down the Tauren looking guy to go on I just cracked up when he stunned the group and made the comment that we were tougher than we looked! After I got up high enough level I would take lower levels on runs just so I could hear him say it again and relive the memory of good friends just starting out in WOW and leveling up together.

I started playing the game about a year ago.. I friend of mine in the UK said hey you really would like this and maybe we can play together… Well after signing up, making a toon and trying to figure out why I at age 54 would I want to be running around figuring out how to do things where kids just seemed to zoom by me in leveling.. it became a challenge and the only downside was my friend and I couldn’t play together because he was on the EU version and the two don’t work together ..

Well recently we decided to try and find a way to play together and after many trails and oh totally deleating my US version of my account .. having to reinstall everything and hours on the phone with Blizzard because we needed all the help we could get … it finally happened .. My friend and I got to play together… We both made new toons .. started at the Abby and made our way through Goldshire.. leveling quickly because by now we both had several toons and were more expereinced now .. we weren’t fumbling around trying to figure out what to do but having so much fun following your guides..

The best day was when we both hit level 20.. got our first horses and rode from the Logging Camp to the lighthouse in Westfall.. We were like kids as we rode having fun jumping fences .. racing as fast as the slow horses would take us.. stopping to kill a few things to skin or to do a few quest along the way… Once at the lighthouse we stripped down to go swimming .. made a fire and tried out our cooking skills.. it was amusing and fun..even had strangers come by to join in the fun of a swim or a game of who can kill a muloc from the greatest distance ..

The game has so many awesome places to see.. to explore.. to quest in but because of all these fun memories with a long distance friend that once said.. hey we might be able to play together and the day that ended under the full moon at the lighthouse as we sat talking I would have to say Westfall will always hold the title as my favorite place.. not only did we have such a fun day .. the challenge of getting to that point was worth all the effort it took… Westfall .. a great place to spent the day ..

Aww what a lovely story <3

My favorite dungeon is the deadmines dungeon…for some reason everytime i would make a new character once i hit level 15 i would always get it as my 1st dungeon even on random queue…and now that they made it harder in cataclysm…it makes it that much funner to play through it over and over!

My favorite zone would I’ve to be Un’Goro Crater! It’s a total tribute to the cartoon Robotech:new generation or genesis climber mosipeda… 🙂 it was so cool to roam around with dinosaurs and giant bug! The tropical greenery of the jungle… All “sealed up” in one zone 🙂 truly awesome!

Would still be STV. I always hated having to travel back and forward between 2 zones to level because there were not enough quests in one zone to stay trhere and the level gap was too large between the easy and hard ones. I know, STV levels still were too varied to just stay there, but there were so many quests you could stay there very long

My favorite zone right now is the new Gilneas. It is fun and really a new way of questing from the kill 20 of these and 10 of those days.I do however have a fondness in my heart for Westfal. I have been playing for 6 years now, started when I took early retirement. My first toon was a warrior, lol I pick that thinking I could protect myself if I had to lol. I must say I really sucked at it..didn’t know a thing and learned by mistake. I was so in awh of those really scarey Harvesters at the gate to Westfall.
They really scared me, and I would run to the bridge and watch them..wow level 10’s!! I will never be able to kill them. Well level 10 came it it was time to go forth and meet my nightmares head on.

I am grinning as I type this. I tried and failed a few times..then asked a big level 15 to help me. Well turns out I learned that you are supposed to use your spells not just wack away at stuff rofl. I also met the murlocks up close and personal getting 3 eyes for stew.Still hate those guys, and I go back for revenge every now and then .

Yes I have very fond memories of my early days just learning to play the game. This was my first game ever and I still love it. I have had many happy days here and have many great friends from all over the world. I still go back and ask if anyone needs any help in those starting areas, and enjoy
teaching the new players things no one ever taught me and I had to learn the hard way. I can also say I learn something new every day!!

By far my favorite zone of all time through out all the changes has to be Booty Bay. From the original WoW when that was the place to be for PvP in the Gurubashi Arena. Not to mention the Sunday Fishing Derby’s. Plus the Original Hemet Nesingway quest line was the best. I remember farming for hours at Jaguero Isle on the **** panthers. Finally Booty Bay has always been the best non major town there is.

Who doesn’t remember trying to gank someone in Booty bay then jumping in the water only to get Netted and killed by the guards?

    • Ash

Booty Bay where a pirate can truly be free. Combined with fishing tourneys, leather eye-patches, parrots and rum.

    • Wretche

my favorite zone hands down, cape of stranglethorn. Be a pirate, hunt ninjas, and an epic pirate battle.

    • Bill

Deadmines is great, you can try out you low level toon to see if you like that class in the dungeon.

    • Chris Thibodeau

I just love how they have redone the quest chains in Westfall. I must say I was shocked to run into the murder scene of the old couple at the entrance. It was very cool to follow the story and solve their murders.

Hmmm, this is hard, so many good zones. After much thought though I must admit the zone that I have played in so much, and created toons so that I could play in, is the Death Knight starting zone.
The first time I played here was so mind-blowing awesome, that I had to change realms and create another DK to go through it again. After many DK’s, some which have been deleted to make room, this area is still awesome to me. Such a pity it can’t be revisited, but I still have a couple of empty toon spots… bbl, gotta roll a new DK now 🙂

    • Epic

my Fav zone would be Burning Steppes bc it was vary fun of the quest line that they have there and thx to your add on that help me out in there

    • DashingxShorty

My favorite zone on wow is Stonetalon Mountains, there’s a new innovative quest right around every kill quest. Great story line and you feel like your a part of the Horde making a difference in the future for the Horde. Overall the zone brings new ideas to the table and parodies other great games such as “Bioshock”. Also before I forget to do this for my fellow hordies, “FOR THE HORDE!!!!”.

      Hi!

I think I have to say my favorite zone is Dun Morogh.

The cold and calm winter zone is a fine place to be.
If u really listen u can hear this nice and calm ambient sound in the distance.

If u have time u can take a trip to the famous Thunderbrew Distillery and taste some of the finest ale in Azeroth.
Hehe and if u have too much there are rooms for rent so u can stay the night.

If u are in the area to do some adventuring there are plenty of quests and a lot to do in this nice zone.
Why not help the people in Kharanos defending the region against all sorts of threats.
Directly to the west is a large cavern inhabited by fierce Wendigo. To the northwest, the Frostmane trolls have entrenched themselves at Shimmer Ridge.

And while u are there don’t forget to get some knowledge about the history of Dun Morogh
and the mighty city of Ironforge.
In Ironforge u can go to the Hall of Explorers and read a lot of history about the ancient Azeroth.
You can also see some of the findings that mighty dwarven explorers have discovered over the years.

Did u know that Ironforge is the ancient home of the dwarves?
It was once ruled by the High King Modimus Anvilmar, who left no heir upon his death,
eventually leading to the War of the Three Hammers.

Before the Dark Iron Clan was banished from the city,
Ironforge was the commercial and social center of all the dwarven clans.
The Bronzebeard Clan, The Wildhammer Clan and the Dark Iron Clan.
The city is now home only to the Bronzebeard Clan.

U can see the mighty statue of King Anvilmar at the city gates of Ironforge. It is a massive statue nearly 100 feet high.

And right now there are history to be made after all the events that have happened in Gnomeregan
So take a trip and help the gnomes reshaping their hometown and be apart of history
This is absolutely a place to be and has something to offer for everybody.

I really hope u liked to read about of my favorite zone in Azeroth and I hope u will find some time to visit the place.

I like Ashenvale and Darkshore. I started way back in vanilla WOW, and my main is a druid and these zones always remind me of times I was learning to play. It all seemed so hard back then. The scenery and the music in these zones always puts me in a druid state of mind. Darnasus does the same thing to me. Remember having to do the druid quests to get your forms? Things are MUCH easier now (and probably more fun)!

Picking one favorite, I would have to say Darkshore.
