Bloodmist Isle – really like the Drani carr. One of the best designed in my opinion.
Stranglethor Vale is still my favorite zone in all of wow, simply because no other zone to me covers everything as well as STV. There is the fishing tournement, Gurubashi arean, the first of the Nessingwary quest lines, mining and herbs galore, high level factions for Vanilla were here, ZG was here and will be here again. Also when I started on a PvP realm this was an all time favorite PvP zone for mid to high level characters to come and slug it out. I remember multiple times winding up with 10-20 people from each faction at max level running around killing each other and it was a blast. Let us not forget also that there are some awesome pets for hunters here. Who hasn’t at one time tamed Bangelesh?
My Favorite 1-60 leveling zone is Darkshore.
My first Aliance character was a nigh Elf Druid, and back then i used to love the quest line and the landscape, but eversince Cataclysm came out you can really see, as a low level character, the true destruction that deathwing arrival was. Plus in adiction to the awsome new landscape the questline there is pretty fun, you feel like you really are part of the storyline.
I think it is really hard to pick just one zone. I love the changes to lvling in general and have ran up 3 new toons just to try all the new changes, but if i have to pick just on i would say that westfall has been one of my favs. I love all the building growth and the CSI nod with “Horatio Lane” investagating the “murder”. Van Cleefs daughter was a nice suprise as well as an entertaining twist. Overall one of the better changes IMO.
my favorite zone is eastern plaguelands and the Pamela questline in Darrowshire.
Tough to pick just one… a part of me wants to go for Dun Morogh where I started my first Dwarf hunter back in original Beta
But I think given the wonderful change it got in Cata it would have to be Azshara with its innovative quest mechanics and fun steam punk flavor
My favorite zone bar none has to be Duskwood. I just love how the eternal night and fog of the place really enhances the stories of the quests that run through there.
My favorite zone is probably Booty Bay because this Guide offers up so many Items (as ive seen) and Booty Bay just gives me alot of xp and ive looked for many guides but this one tops it. And my other one has to be Hellfire peninsula because its just awesome 🙂
My favorite zone is Thousand Needels. I started playing in WOLK and really didnt enjoy having to run through the zone much but now i really like the zone for the quest line and the zone mount you get.
Wailing Caverns. My first couple of times through were just total confusion. No maps available. Pretty new to WoW. Running with others who did not have a clear idea of paths. LOTS of loot.
This dungeon more than anything else taught me the value of cooperation with my group mates, the importance of having lots of bags, and having them as empty as possible before beginning the run bearing in mind the necessity of having enough food and drink to last. I think it took about 3 hours per complete visit during those early days.
Now I can lead a group through Wailing Caverns with complete confidence of covering the entire zone and clearing out all those nasty big and little mobs.
My favorite is Stranglethorn area both vale and cape. I liked the vale for you gave you a chance to see those “evil” and crazy trolls dancing and talking in their unique dialect and it ( if for a short time gave you a pet to help you find things and interact with). I think it would be great add to the game if the pets would interact with you more. The cape I like for you got to be introduced to a free town where both alliance and horde can enter. Lets not forget the Goblins, their grumpiness makes them very likable.
For me, it will always be Elwyn Forest. It was the first area I saw when I first opened up WoW in WoTLK. It was, and always shall be, my favorite zone!
P.S. I would have never gotten to even Level 70 without your guide, thank you.
My favorite 1-60 zone would have to be Stranglethorn Vale. When people hear this zone they run in fear of the terror of questing there. However, since the cataclysm has hit, you can really enjoy the zone, rather than trying to get out as fast as you can! The zone is a wonderful place and looks awesome. I enjoy questing there because it brings back memories of leveling there in BC. The quests are more streamlined and there a fair few gimmicks along the way. There is a raptor there, that you could possibly get attached too… (spoiler alert) and it doesn’t feel right when he is gone.
Stranglethorn is where all the PvP pros started. Admit it. The essence of Vanilla WoW still lingers, but the cataclysm is there 10 fold. I cant think of anything bad to state about the zone because it is just that great (in my opinion).
My favorite lvl 1-60 dungeon is definitely Shadowfang Keep, Mainly because i just love the way the whole dungeon looks, and for lvl 19 twinks the place was riddled with good lvl 19 gear bot BoP and BoE including the legendary Shadowfang, THE ultimate lvl 19 twink rogue weapon. Also when i found out that they were making SFK an 85 heroic i nearly screamed with excitment! 🙂
I would have to say barrens on my ally lock I would stroll around barrens like a B.A. even though I was only lvl19 ish and then have a friend run me through wc
I like the new Azshara zone. Use to hate it but they have made it more interesting.
My favorite zone is Stranglethorn Vale. I actually got attached to that cute little raptor and got somewhat angry when he was taken away.
I love the Un’Goro area. It is challenging and has a feel of untouched wilderness to it. It feel like discovering a new place in the real world. Like there are places still in the Amazon that have not been discovered yet. All the exotic animals and flowers add to that feel. As a hunter I also got my first rare exotic pet there – the white devilsour. I was also able to really get my skinning leveled up and then in turn my leather working. Now that I am an 85 and can even fly myself I am going to fly over this place and land in some of the places that were previously not reachable. This place kind of gave me a sense of adventure and discovery I was seeking for in real life when I was younger.
I really love the Worgen starting zone Gilneas. It brings a sence of reality to the Alliance where it has always been sunshine and rainbows in the past, And the story evolving is really in depth and just sheer amazing.
A twist in the quest chains there was when King Greymane turned into a Worgen in front of his former “General” I believe and the man who disliked the worgen people was there trying to command the General to fight next to the king.
My Favorite zone is Loch Modan. As an Alliance Hunter I really enjoyed the quests in this zone. Form stoping the destruction of the dam to fighting the ogres this zone has it all.
