My Favorite zone is the new Thousand Needles. Some people may find it boring, but I like the Idea of the flooded area & ability to Boat/Swim the whole thing. The new additions to it are a big Plus and I’m glad they upgraded the Ores in it. I find myself spending more time Mining the Ores then Questing, and I really like Questing alot.
I have to say that I thoroughly enjoy Dun Morogh. I just recently started playing WoW after a friend talked me into it. I was skeptical at best, but he convinced me to give it a try. I started up as a dwarf shammy and my adventure began. I was hooked almost instantly. I just couldn’t get enought of the story, quests, and atmosphere of Dun Morogh. I wasn’t there long, but I have to say that the starting area of Dun Morogh was my favorite of all the level 1-60 zones.
Thousand Needles used to be a place I hated to quest. Always having to run winding paths to get around all the stone pillars for pretty boring quests just took the fun out of it for me. But now… well it was the first area I played after Cat was released that made me laugh again. I got a BOAT! And the huge “moonjump” steps along the bottom? Awesome! The quests had purpose again, and they made it fun to play. So it’s my favorite because it renewed my love of the game.
my favourite zone is darkshore because i can remember when i was new and once i reached level 10 i thought i was really good at the game and traveled there and got killed by a moonkin. it was so much fun to do somthing new and it was at that point that i realised that i was going to be playing wow for a long time!
My main is a hunter and the dungeon that appealed to me the most was Razorfen Downs. Something about that place made my true hunter side be revealed. It must have been those dang walking pigs. Seems like the best thing for a hunter to hunt is a pig that wants to kill you. I would always try to run that place. Killing lions, tigers and bears was fun, but nothing compared to that of a humanized pig that was trying to kill you. It almost reminds me of a great novel by George Orwell called “Animal Farm”, where Major, Snowball and Napoleon (all pigs of course) teach the other farm animals that they will no longer be slaves to humans and they rise up against their masters and all humans.
I like the Booty Bay area.
I think the graphics are cool or at least they were….
I want to be a pirate !
I think it would be cool if we could purchase our own ships and either play pirate with crew, a merchant cargo ship, or a passenger ship with battles at sea.
Hello Dugi, My favorite 1-60 zone for leveling is the new goblin starter area. After playing WOW for the past several years I was bored with the 5 level 80 toons I had. What a refreshing new area. It was not too big to travel around. The little cars were a blast! The jokes and charachter names were even funny. I won your guides a long time ago. I still have the video saved from when you started and hand picked the top 10 winners. I have shared your guides with many and we all appreciate the work you have done to help us. Thanks Again for enhancing my gaming experiance. Jay =)
Back in Vanilla days, my fave was Tarren Mills and Southshore in Hillsbrad Foothills….the old-school pvp was the best!
I’ve always loved the Eastern Plaguelands, it has so much flavour!
I was worried before Cata that they would ruin it but they made it better with the new quests and quest hubs!
I would have to go with Silverpine forest – with the story line around the worgen it expanded on what was introduced in vanilla WOW and for me helped to round out the history and place for the worgen in the overall WOW story line.
My favorite zone in wow would have to be The Barrens, it is an amazing questing zone. It was always the place to be back when I started to play. The Barrens chat has always be synonamous on any server that I have been on. Plus it was always one of the biggest challenges to complete all of the Barrens quests.
With the new Barrens there have been so many changes, but the whole area is still awesome and just that much more mystical. It has been a great place to level and play for many years, and I have started many characters with the intent of going back to The Barrens to quest.
Definitely Hillsbrad Foothills. The new quests line there was the first Cata content I played and it is still my favorite. All the little cut scenes they had on many of the quests were really cool and also pretty funny and the quests were really fun
I love the changes done to The Deadmines. Back in vanilla WoW I ran through DM hundreds of times (Back before all your high level friends can solo you through it). It was also the first dungeon that I ever ran in WoW and I love the new changes done to it as along with the fact that now it’s a 85 heroic too. My favorite boss has to be Vanessa VanCleef. Love this fight! (But that’s 85 so…) I also love the Cookie encounter. I always liked going off after Cookie in Vanilla and I was shocked when I couldn’t find him in the new one until I came to the end. That made me “lol” all day.
I enjoy the new version of the Thousand Needles zone. I especially found the Tony Two-Tusk quest chain interesting because you have to kill him and then you have his ghost following you around saying all kinds of things while you work on gathering stuff for his “wife” to bring him back to life.
I also find it fun that in the inn area on the barge you can buy a certain bottle of booze and start fight by hitting a goblin or gnome over the head with it depending on your faction.
Another interesting thing about TN is the corpse of the whale shark a bit north of the barge under water which makes me think it got caught in the wave during the one storm that happens in the Lord Greymane background story that Blizzard has on the main community site.
My favorite dungeon is Shawdowfang Keep, both heroic and regular. I like how it is semi linear, but complex. Over bridges, up stairs, up down, inside outside. The mobs are fun, bosses are great fights and the sights and sounds are great.
My favorite zone was Stranglethorn Vale. I could not wait to get there. It was a break away from slaying huminoids. The jungle was awe inspiring and questing was simply amazing. Playing as a warrior, this was a perfect place to level weapons of all sorts. The boss Tiger, Dinosaur, and others was simply fun. The guberashi arena was also a great place to duke it out with other peeps. Battleing for the chest was a challenge and a charm. I never won, but the gear that dropped was what kept me going back. Who could forget Booty Bay and all the wonderful NPC’s selling all those wonderful goods. Discovering the Neutral AH was also a surprise. I saved up gold just to buy a roach. Anyway. Happy hunting to all those who have not been to Stranglethorn yet.
Relica 85 Arms Warrior Draenor Server
My Favorite….wow so many and I have to choose 1,,,ok how about the whole game, alrite I know you said 1 so….although I have always like the Barrens with the way questing wnd from boars to animals to humanoids and even HARPIES (hate the screetching) and now it is even better with now more colorful mini zone, I guess I would have to say Stranglthorne Vale! It has all the same kind of experences but at a tougher level and a bigger (and tougher) dungeon, I am not as happy about the newer way (north and south) but who knows maybe there will be a civil way!
My favorite zone is Mulgore because that’s where I started my first character and nearly all of the next, that where I started my long trip to 80 and then 85 on him, and it really was a super long journey.
I think ghostlands are my favorite because that were I first started to acaullu level fast and get into the game. Also it’s full of lots of interesting quests, and a cool story line. Another reason I like it is for my first character( blood elf hunter) I got first pet there, a mistbat.
my favourite has got to be stranglethorn vale, although tedious at times i love the all the mastery quests and fighting all the animal bosses 🙂 always enjoy beating them it gives me a real sence of achievement ^^
