As an alliance player, my favorite zone is the original version of Westfall. I do like how Blizzard chaged it but i still like more the previous version. I do like this zone because it’s almost the 1st zone after Elwynn Forest for the humansand this is the zone where u meet the 1st dungeon in WoW for the Alliance. This zone is some kind unique. This zone is a demonstration of WoW here u receive your first talent point go in the dungeon. And i think every WoW player knows every corner in Deadmines. Maybe it will sound weird, but this zone reminds me my school days in 2007, how i missed school just play WoW a little bit more, and the first PVP experience with friends. So that’s why Westfall is my favorite 1-60 location in WoW
I am going to have to say gilneas I have always wanted a starting zone that is fun and has a good story line and I think in gilneas blizzard has really delivered 🙂
I would have to say Azshara. Before it went completely Horde of corse. This was my favorite hang out place when I wanted to just go somewhere quiet and do my thing. The landscape was cool, beasts were interesting, and it was one of the few places where nobody came to gank you. I think one of the most interesting facts about this place was that unless you were hiding out before a raid on the orcs nobody really thought about it. Happy times. The only place I found to match it so far was Nagrand after everyone went north. Also a great place to loaf. But nothing can beat the epic coasts of Azshara.
Hi! My favorite is Zul Farak especially in the final stage when you have to defend against those waves of trolls assaulting the Temple on those long stairs. That’s soooo much fun and soooo intense!!!
Hillsbrad Foothills really stood out for me, but I haven’t seen too many of the lower level zones since Cataclysm came out. I hope to change that soon with my brand new goblin warrior and tauren paladin!
I have encouraged my guildies to level through Eastern Plaguelands, originally because — as Dugi said — it is a fantastically redone zone, but now I recommend it simply because it provides a great questing experience epilogued by a perfect transition to an even greater questing experience. That said, I did not get to experience all of EP this time around yet, as I — accidentally — took the rocket ride to Fuselight-by-the-Sea while picking up quests at Light’s Hope. I can’t say I was disappointed for long, though.
Not only does rides on those goblin contraptions always make things interesting with roller-coaster-esqe, jarring stalls above valleys and puttering climbs over mountains, but the progression through the Badlands epitomizes the lower level experience of Cataclysm, in my opinion.
From punching billy-goats off a mountain in preparation for punching Deathwing in the face (to the backdrop of WoW inter-NPC-character bantering at its finest) to managing small groups of NPC companions as a miniature crash-course primer type thing in the very basics of raid-oriented coordination; a selection of — albeit simple — puzzles and the unforgettably touching plot-twists.
I simply do not have the heart to vendor Rhea’s Last Egg from by inventory even as I near 85 on the character that first experienced this fantastic zone. It is a forever heart-touchingly tragic reminder of what makes questing an experience that transcends the superficial grind.
My favorite zone would have to be the goblin starting area, not sure of it’s name to be honest haha. I find that blizzard really brought what they have been trying to bring with all the starting zones since the release of WoW. All of the quests are fun and exciting to do, and having an awesome car to help you around is just amazing. It pretty much gives you a sneak preview of what it is like to have a mount at a very early point in the game. Also, I find all the quests to flow very well and you don’t have to waste a lot of time with tedious gathering quests….Thank God 🙂
I would say Felwood, great quest chains, especialy when you get the rainbow generator from a quest, shooting rainbows on allys is great! And I also like Felwood since the envimorment is very cool and some other cool quests aswell, for example when you’re fighting with Illidian stormrage versus Arthas, the lichking. Really cool moments.
Hi Dugi!
My favorite place to level is Stranglethorn Vale. The cool jungle-look makes me really feel like an adventurer. I also like the diversity of beast, and the trolls living there in their ruins (I’m one myself :D). The quests given by the guys in the camp are also nice for skinners.
Keep up the good job!
My favorite zone would have to be Azuremyst Isle. My very first toon was a Draenei Hunter & I was drawn right in. My husband will forever regret that he insisted i try WoW with him 🙂
My best memory for dungeons is still being a pretty low level alliance & running naked through Orgrimmar to get to the entrance. I’ve never had that much fun letting horde kill me.
My favorite zone is burning steps with the rambo quests in it just great
Blood elf starting area, because all of the quests are really easy and its where alot of my characters came from. Also because its the first place i went after i got TBC 😀 its the only starting zone that isnt boring and the blood elf architecture is amazing. Anyway, love your guides dugi 😀
Felwood is just awesome. Nice flow through the zone, bottom to top, with varied activities and flavors along the way. Fight humanoids/beasts/elementals/undead, and interesting story lines, all the variety and fun in just one zone. But wait, you also get Furbolg Rep, good mining/herbage/cloth from humanoids, quick to access for both sides, Horde from Org/Alliance from ****. Even run my DKs through there for the pure pleasure, and to level their profs.
Hands down my favorite starting area is the Goblin starting area. Who would not love to roll a gobby to go through their quest line! Not to mention i enjoy rolling with my homies quest, the way the goblins get thrown 3 feet away when you hit them with your car. Watch out, I’m a woman driver in game too! The quest line is not only interesting the whole area is visually appealing and just fun to be in. I have a feeling that most of my characters will end up being goblins so I can enjoy doing the quests over and over again. If you haven’t rolled a goblin you really should. Kezan is the only starting area where I don’t want to blow through just to level up. In my opinion there is no place like Kezan!
My favorite leveling zone is Ashenvale in Kalimdor. One of the reason is, It make me feels like I’m in the movie “The Lord of the ring” moreover this area has a many stories between Ally and hode that make me love this game.
Sorry about my English, Because I’m not an English speaker 🙂
One of my favorite zone in WoW has always been Teldrassil, because my first character was a night elf. The area is absolutely gorgeous, very enchanting and mystical. It has this relaxing atmosphere and I could listen to the music all day. I also love the rain forest of Feralas. Fantastic waterfalls, lush tropic plants, mystic wildlife and ancient ruins. The Twin Colossals there (in my opinion) are one of the best landmarks in the game.
I have to say that i love molten core and all the instances in Blackrock, and i happy to play Blackrock carvern in HC: 😉
Thousand Needles has to be my pick for favorite 1-60 zone. The way blizzard completely changed it in cata I thought was brilliant. Before cata I had never really thought to quest there but then after I saw that it had been flooded I was curious and gave it a try. Let me just say it did not disappoint, I absolutely loved the comedic quest lines and the traveling mechanic was just great. Every time I had finished a quest I was excited for the next and it definitely keep me hooked on the game which I believe all zones should.
I am going along with lots of others and saying Stranglthorn Vale. The new quests, amount of animals to skin and herbs to pick, make this place ideal. If however you roll an Undead char, Silverpine is the place to go, the storyline is fantastic and you will get exalted with UC by the time you finish it.
Have to say that Tanaris is my favorite, and whit the changes in Cata make it just even better. And then there is Zul Farak, an instance i always have loved to play…
