My favorite zone is Loch Modan.
I’ve leveled many dwarves and have always love the flow of quests and the fact that its a lvl 10-20 zone. With Cataclysm, it all changed! wow, really changed and now its even better. I feel that it introduces the new content really early (now having the twilight crowd there) and new quests add so much more story and lore….Plus we got murlocs too!

Ashenvale, no doubt. As the tread makes said about Teldrasil. Ashenvale also seems calm.

      Tanaris!
I have not played this after the huge change, so this is what i used to love about it
It was a amazing change for me to see all that sand and finally not any bushes and other annoyance in my line of sight!
The quests combined with the instance in the same zone, really made this something to enjoy.
And if not all the XP and sand is proof enough.. this is the place you can get the noggen AND where i found my first rare, it was one extra huge ogre, and he needed to be cleared around to kill, the thrill of doing that for the first time!
It also has one of the longest ******-quests in the game, when you are uniting the turtles by running over the map with him.
If that was not enough! ITS PIRATES there! 😀 you shall take their hats and kill them all!

wait there is more, there is also a few “hidden” places, some beach you can sneak around to.. and be just you and the turtles!

      My favourite zone is Westfall.

It’s perhaps not the most thrilling in some ways, given it’s a low-level zone, but the design of the area works really well for me, and particularly the Cataclysm period feeling of civic discontent, while Sentinel Hill is under constant attack. Beyond that, the main branches of questing to be done, both pre- and post-Cataclysm are a load of fun – Before Cataclysm, the back and forth investigations that eventually push towards the Deadmines… And then now, with the more active investigation of a murder, unfolding in true mystery style… What’s not to love?!

I really enjoyed the goblin starting area khzan I had lots of fun driving round in the go kart, falling of the track weeee lol the quests was lots of fun there

I love Wailing Caverns. Back in the day, it introduced players to so much. Item sets with Embrace of the Viper (or Fang’s Set as it is more commonly known), the first event within a dungeon (awakening Naralex and fighting Mutanos the Devourer (and who doesn’t love a Murloc Boss!)) and basically the first real Dungeon crawl, especially when compared to the other low level dungeons like RFC etc.

Concerning Cata improvements, I love the fact that the quests are now inside the dungeon (as it used to take an hour or so to gather them all up, plus it was tough getting to them, especiallaly the ones in the caves above the instance) the in game dungeon map (WC had a special way of making you lose your way like no other instance) and that the Awakening Naralex event has been sped up (I love that fact that Muyoh, the tauren NPC, now runs!).

One of my favourite places to hang out.

Easy choice it has to be Old STV couse back in tbc i spent alot of time here with my warrior. And there were so many poeple in STV back then so u would always bump into someone to fight or have a nice talk and quest together. But in WOTLK STV turned into the ganking sentral deluxe :/ And i also loved the Gurubashi arena where everyone fighted all day long for the achivement. wish they had implemented that in cata aswell. sighh…

Hillsbrad Foothills. Who doesn’t enjoy “Tarren Mill is under attack” spammed over and over for hours on end …

    • Lunaru

My favorite zone is Blackrock Depths. I just love the epic fell it has to it.

I’m going to pick Un Goro as my favorite area.
Mostly because I play several differant chars and they all had fun there. (especially my hunter)
I play the game for fun after all.
Your guides have made the game even more fun for me.
Thanks for all you do to inhance WoW for all of us.

In these troubled times with the world in such a turmoil, it has to be fuselight by the sea, such happy upbeat music, and all those happy little people running around, but the there are the exploding sheep! so perhaps a bit like the real world after all?

I’m leveling an undead mage at the moment and I think that Blizzard did an awesome job at revamping Silverpine Forrest.
I think that the new quest lines and the small video sequences give the player a more complex story telling that Blizzard is known fore.

My favorite instance must be The Deadmines, I especially like the last part of deadmines where you have to refight all the bosses again. I also like the time it take to play The Deadmines if think that its nice that people have to invest a bit of time in order to get some nice gear. I also like the way that Blizzard adds to the story line from the old deadmine instance.

My favorite starting area is Gilneas.I love the way it looks, and I love the music and ambient sounds.I love it so much,I have rolled seven new Worgen toons, just so I can have the fun of being immersed in that wonderful environment.Plus, the quests are fun and well, just everything about Gilneas has me hooked.

    • Wulfgardr

My favorite leveling zone is Elwyn Forest. Perfect enviorment with a very good and fitting music; plus, it is a heaven for gathering professions, in fact there are plenty of copper veins and peaceblooms/silverleaves.

I’ve not had a chance to explore all the redesigned 1-60 zones, but I started a gnome priest after Cataclysm to see some of the changes. I had a lot of fun in the lower level zones and Westfall really stood out as a major improvement on the old version. Before it was a real drag and I couldn’t wait to be finished questing there but now I find it a lot more fun to do. The storyline is fun and engaging and I was sad to leave the zone when I’d completed all the quests there.

I really enjoyed all the revamped zones I’ve played in so far but Westfall was the first that really made an impression upon me.

      Hi Dugi,
My favorite leveling zone is Ashenvale in Kalimdor. That’s where our guild is based and it is also named after the zone.
Keep up the good work and let’s hope that ****** eart will stay calm at least where you guys live.
      You have had your share.

I have been playing World of Warcraft, on both Horde and Alliance sides since Vanilla wow and I have had more than 20 max level characters. And my favorite place is still my favorite place today, The Deadmines. I have always like the longer instances for more loot, especially ones with lots of humanoids for cloth, as it was the best place to farm wool. I loved the story line of VanCleef up until Cata and the story line now. I also like how the instance gives lower level characters a small taste of level 85 heroics. No you don’t have to crowd control, but you have to play smarter, such as with cookie, and eating the food on the ground and avoiding cannon balls being shot at you.

    • Daniel Fraser

I’d have to say my favorite dungeon is Sethekk Halls because it has such a cool feel to it when you go in there and farm and i love the lore behind it. My favourite zone to quest in is Wintergrasp because they’ve changed it so much now the quests give good experience and not bad experience anymore and i love the whole snowy mountain style.

    • Jake

most of the 1-60 areas involving goblins are awesome

the funniest and most fun quests would be the fuselight one involving pushing the rams off the cliff

andddd the maximillion quest line which ends with him riding away from devilsaur queen while you throw pieces of his armor at it

      hilarious!
