It has been relocated outside of Stormwind and Orgimmar, and Blizzard has chosen to alter the questlines completely. I have rewritten the guides and sent it to Dugi for approval, it will be included in the upcoming update.
I’m now working on a new daily guide, which has also undergone significant alteration. We appreciate you bringing this to our notice. ππ
You are right it does look more inclined to be client end. This can be a number of things, corrupt CVars or macro/s. Despite addons are disabled, they can still be responsible for a CVar corruption or error.
Can you please install or enable BugSack and BugGrabber, with these enabled along with DugiGuides could also shed some light as to what’s going on. I am intrigued to see if there’s a lua error or taint lurking in the background.
If you hear “Fatality”, click on the red sack minimap icon and then click anywhere in the middle of the output and press CTRL + A and then CTRL + C. On the desktop, right click a blank space and select New, and then select Text Document. Name it Crash. Open it and then press CTRL + V, click the X top right and then click save. Repeat this for other errors, of course, name the next error, Crash 2 etc.
If you did get errors or taints, please click the Attach File in the
WYSIWYG tool bar and then browse to the file and click add, repeat for
the other files.I would like to try getting you to try typing /dugi fix followed by hitting enter and then click Okay on the reload prompt.
Once you enter game after the reload, try mounting on a Dragonriding Mount, try not to use a macro and see if it happens again. If the problem persists, please try Reinstalling the Addon.Reinstall DugiGuides Addon:-
- Open Dugi Installer.
- Click on Settings button.
- Click on Reset button.
- Click Okay button x3 times.
- Click on Okay button.
- Click Reinstall button.
- Exit the Dugi Installer.
I am looking forward to hear back from you with any results.
Hi, I have found the issue and made the amendments and send to Dugi.
Thank you for letting us know ππHi, I found and fixed the issue and sent Dugi the amendments.
Thank you for bringing this to our attention ππTrue, but the note is still warranted due to the fact that Twilight Fire Guard‘s can send your fireballs to all nearby mobs. Worth the caution imho.
mag046 said:Please provide me with an exact quest that is a 100% completion quest that I can use for testing. At this point I have only used natural progression through the guide until I find a completion quest resulting in significant delays in providing examples. There are several though out Dragonflight, some are through quest lines and there are some World Quests as well.It would be easier to progress a character / alt through a guide up to “Some Objective (100%)”. I wouldn’t rely on a World Quest as they are limited on a timer, also there’s a chance that the WQ may not appear on another character.mag046 said:1. Installed guide version 9.043.
2. WTF purge of account folder while logged out of client.
3. Log back into the client/game/character with guide enabled.
4. Configured guide settings as follows:- Questing -> uncheck ‘Floating Item Button’ and ‘Auto Quest Tracking’
- Dugi Arrow -> uncheck ‘Show Ant Trail’ and ‘Icon Arrow’
- Dugi Zone Map -> uncheck ‘Enable Zone Map’
- Display -> uncheck ‘Anchored Small Frame’ and ‘Fixed Width Small Frame’
- Frames -> uncheck ‘Small Frame Border’
- Maps -> uncheck ‘Hide Border’
- Taxi System -> default selections
- Target Button -> uncheck ‘Target Button’ (default unchecks all below)
- Tooltip -> default selections
- Gear Set -> default selections
- Gear Scoring -> default selections
- Gear Finder -> default selections
- Auto Mount -> default selections
- Notifications -> default selections
- Other -> uncheck ‘CTRL + Right Click Arrow Menu’
- Guide Sharing BETA -> Uncheck ‘Enable Guide Sharing’
- Profiles -> default selections
5. Waking Shores guide quested until I got to “Fight Fire with… Water” (100%).
6. Completed the quest to 100%, error encountered.
7. Reloaded the UI via the LUA error window and the guide advanced.
8. Abandoned the quest.
9. Re-checked ‘Icon Arrow’.
10. Completed the quest to 100%, error encountered. Did not encounter in previous testing.I am going to reset the guide settings to default and work through the quest as I uncheck them one-by-one and test further.
That’s a good idea, I will use these settings on an alt and see if I can get any taints.
This is now fixed for next update, thank you for reporting this. ππ
Okay I am unable to reproduce this issue even with your proposed settings, there must be something else that’s contributing to this.
To prove that there’s no taints I’ll attach a video here Bare with me being rusty with my evoker, it’s only used for guide writing.I write guides regularly and do not come across these taints at all.
What else do you use?Can you provide a screenshot of the addons tab in your character select screen please.
Does this occur with dugiguides disabled? this question was not answered.
You can repeat the ‘kill squirrels (100%)’ quest by instead of turning in the quest, to abandon the quest and re accept it, I might try this but on a different character.Perhaps you can provide a bit of game footage with an example of whats going on.To also note that when I answer threads/posts I answer with absolute certainty and I am always serious, I never answer with jokes or to provide any fraudulent motives. So, I am not trying to stall or cause a runaround with this issue. I am dead set serious to find whats causing this.Okay, thanks for the steps to reproduce this, I am on another alt to test this issue

If you are dissatisfied with the guides, you may file a ticket. here, If you cancel within 60 days from your initial payment, you will receive a full refund. This will be evaluated during the ticket. If you are finding bugs why haven’t you contacted us using any of the links under support or even made a post in this forum? other than making a post in Quest 100% completion crash, in which I have answered your post, I am awaiting a response.neilh47 said:Hi
I have been having the same problem on all my charactors for a long time now every time there is a quest that has a fill bar it does not go away after you have comleted the quest i have to quit wow and reload i dont get any error text just that locking up duiguides
NeilCan you please try with no addons enabled, if it persists please try the cvar command line by following the listed instructions above.
please report back with findings, either they go away after disabling dugiguides or they persist, if they do persist and you ran that command, how did it go?
I very much want to find a solution to this.mag046 said:Your response was uncalled for.Really? wow, and you think you are helping. :smh: your other thread, yes, I agree, you did help. In this thread, well, where do I start?- I am unable to replicate this taint of yours
- I asked for a screenshot and you ignored me in this comment of mine
- looking at your responses the only person frustrated here is you
If you took offense to me saying “I am not a magician and can’t pull a rabbit out of a hat” I stated truth and I don’t aplologise. In this whole thread you expect who ever is helping you is a magician or rather to stab a knife in the dark. There’s little to no information to do anything with, and requests are ignored.I have been looking throughout this thread and reading and rereading my recent reply, it looks like you responded to it in a negative way. I believe I am not out of place here.Just a little reminder here, you have no authority over me, you are not entitled with these guides in anyway. I am here trying to help you, it seems to me that you don’t really want my help at all, or more to the point that you posted “here’s an error, go fix it” attitude going on. It appears more likely that you have no interest in participating in any aspect of my inquiry.mag046 said:What am I looking at?
I see that you are on Slay Fyrakk’s Forces (100%), It’s already established that I am on the same page for the type of quest you mean.
Confused with the circle around the waypoint..
This is exactly what I mean, it looks like you provided a screenshot because you were asked to provide one. Regardless if it would help or not, in this case, complete waste of my time to look at this .. what ever it is.What I have done since replying to this thread.- Spent my time trying to get that taint to show, more specifically with quests that are like “kill rats (100%)”.
- I used 3 computers and 1 laptop. (third computer using linux, I don’t want windows on that computer) all of which gave nil taint.
- I tried with only DugiGuides enabled and some other random addons to mix things up.
- I tried my taint script with only DugiGudies and my addons running and nil taints.
- I used another character and tried some of the quests you pointed out in this thread and nil taint errors.
- I ensured that I had cvars enabled and had buggrabber and bugsack enabled with nil taints.
I just want some cooperation even if what I ask sounds absurd to you, this is how I do things, if you don’t like it then I can close this thread and be done with it.Kapeesh?
Lets start over, is this character specific? in other words, does this happen on one character or multiple? Might be a clue if it’s only one character on one account. When you say “the installation was clean with a WTF folder purge” how do you purge your wtf folder?Have you tried with nil addons running? The clue here is “Blizzard_ObjectiveTracker.lua”As Blizzard calls it “UI Reset” by deleting “WTF, Cache & Interface” folders as described on the knowledge base, certain CVars are stored server side and will be restored from the server after deleting WTF folder. You’ll need to use the following command/console cvar_defaultAfter hitting enter, you may get an error saying that “you don’t have permission to perform that function”, don’t worry, that UI error message is normal, it tries to reset some protected CVars but proceeds to work fine for the other CVars.Don’t use this command all the time, this should only be used as a last resort.I do suspect this is a CVar issue though.
Instructions:- Load into World of Warcraft, select the character and load into the game.
- type above command in the chat.
- Click okay on the error that appears.
- wait another minute, then exit the game completely.
- Delete WTF, Cache & Interface folders.
- Load back into World of Warcraft.
- Exit the game and install DugiGuides.
- Test the game out by trying those Kill Squirrels (100%) quests.
Please post back with the findings, either you still get taint error message or its gone.I do not want to see any attitude or talk backs, soon as I see them this thread will be closed and deleted 24hrs after closure.
Have you tested with a different guide?
Wheres a screenshot or video as I previously asked for?Is there a way to replicate this, if known?I need more info, a screenshot or video would be great because that would at least point me in the right direction. I am not a magician and can’t pull a rabbit out of a hat, at least that’s how it feels when requests are ignored.mag046 said:The issue can also be HandyNotes, depending on the modules you have loaded.OP has illustrated that he is using HandyNotes, but hasn’t listed any other modules for it, however, you are right, if he is using another module for HandyNotes, pets needs to be disabled in that as well.
