Have you tried to use Dugi Installer to uninstall DugiGuides?
Click on Settings.
Click on Repair.
Click on OK.
Click on OK again.
Click on OK again.
Click on Okay.
At this point, open an explorer window and browse to your World of Warcraft install location.
Here you can see that the Dugi Guides Installer has removed the addon.Let’s check the SavedVariables. in {Path}World of Warcraft_classic_WTFAccount{Your_Account#?}SavedVariables
Look for DugisGuidesViewerZ.lua and DugisGuidesViewerZ.lua.bak
if they aren’t there, then Dugi Guides Installer has removed the addon.
Let’s continue with Installing the addon.
Click Reinstall button, and wait out the installation.
Close Dugi Installer.
Run the game, at the character select screen click Addons button.Ensure that DugiGuides is the only one ticked. Click Okay when done.
Even though my own addon runs less than 32kb in total, for the purposes of this, my own addon will be disabled.
Choose your character and click Enter World.
Should be presented with this. The Latency in any client of World of Warcraft is not exactly as it says it is. World and Home are both your end. If they are high then something is not right and something else is using your internet. At this stage I’d exit World of Warcraft and make a call to your ISP ASAP. Try and use a cable wired from your laptop / computer to your modem / router / switch. try again, if still high latency call ISP, no point to make a ticket with Blizzard because they will tell you to contact your ISP, I know this because I am an ex Game Master. I left because of family issues, Blizzard was super nice to pay for my flight back home.FPS is a tricky one, yes some addons can effect the FPS, but that’s like 5-10 fps, unless an addon or addons have taint, which at this stage there would be 5-10 fps or more depending on the severity.Anything with addons and FPS is like stabbing a knife in the dark. What are you using to get the current FPS? I hope it wasn’t an addon. Ensure Dugi Guides is the only addon running. Use CTRL + RI am always 280fps when riding a mount towards a waypoint made with /way 49.22, 23.45
During heading towards the waypoint I opened map (small) and map (large) the whole time my FPS was 280FPSLatency of 600-700 is not bad for a pvp battleground. I’ve seen a lot of bad latency in battlegrounds which was over 1000ms.Physical memory does not matter, totally two different things. Fact of the matter, the system (windows) make things a lot more complicated than that with page file size, responsibility to designate memory allocations and releasing of used memory (windows 10 and 11 to this date does not, google ISLC Intelligent Standby List Cleaner, pst me in discord Ozzi#9217 if you want me to step you through on how to set up”Map does work we just need to find whats interfering with your game play.Something is running in the background, other applications, services etc that may be interfering with your wow game play. How is it not comforting that it’s not happening on my end? comes to prove that it’s not the addon that’s causing this issue, rest assured, I am not here to make fun or what not, I am 100% concerned that something is interfering with your gaming experience and am interested in working with you to find it and hopefully fix it.A Blizzard update may sound logical but I can most certainly ensure you, if that was the case then everybody will be getting this and, it won’t be this long since the patch was released to fix the broken (whatever it is). This is all pure speculation and coincidence.Have you updated your video card driver between Blizzard update and this issue started? Can you please try to provide screenshots or video footage of “FPS Drops” and “High latency”, need clear view of enabled addons at the start and use CTRL + R to see FPS and every now and then hover mouse over System Icon in action bar.I am really saddened to hear that you are not using the guides.
I have also ran the guides and only Dugiguides running in Classic Wrath and can’t find any major faults.I have went to the great lengths to use “/console scriptErrors 1” and to further see if there’s any lua errors lurking using BugGrabber and BugSack. To add further chaos to the mix, I used one of my own addons that’s designed to debug functions etc, the only time I get errors is if I on purposely add a bad coded function in it.Can you please outline the troubleshooting steps you’ve tried so far? so I can work out how to approach this so we can get these guides working for you, error free.Try using this Soft Foam Sword it takes a bit of practice to get used to it at first.- Target the NPC.
- Make a macro with /use Soft Foam Sword or drag the Soft Foam Sword toy to the action bar.
- Click the macro or toy in the action bar.
You should see a charging bar and then a bonk noise, the health on the NPC would be low enough to use a quest item. This should save you stripping gear off etc. So if you haven’t got this toy yet, it’s defiantly worth getting it.
Warning: this toy sometimes bugs out, usually spend 1 minute to submit a bug report and then try logging off then exiting the game, reloading the game and logging back in again. Of course, when doing that ensure that you are not in an area where mobs can spawn back and start killing you as you logged back in, this will interrupt addons.hotohorikakashi said:Ok, I reverted back an update so I could test. When I turned off my antivirus dugi launcher updated fine and started ok.
It also worked once I restarted computer and antivirus was back on.
I will not be sure if it was the antivirus causing the problem until the next dugi update occurs and I can test it again. If it is the antivirus then I dont know what the problem is as I had no problems with them both before and dugi is allowed through the antivirus.
That’s exactly what I thought, in some ways it’s good to know that the installer you have is not corrupt. What antivirus are you using? if you don’t mind me asking, I could look in to it a little more in depth and hopefully provide steps you can take.
Won’t hurt to check anyway.
- Open up a PowerShell as Administrator.
- Browse to the path where DugiGuides_1.5.3.exe resides.
Since I use multiple SSD’s I use a mechanical WD ***** Drive for my Desktop and other folders like Downloads etc, so Mine will beDesktop
The commands to use will be:CD .Desktop
- Type in the following:
Get-ChildItem -Path "DugiGuides_1.5.3.exe" -Recurse -File | Get-FileHash -Algorithm MD5
- Look at your output and check it against mine

Please see cmd_M61MFd0Tuv.png and cmd_0AydgU4Nan.png
If your MD5 matches mine, relax, it’s all good and not corrupted, please report back to me if it is different.can you please try running dugi guides with your security software disabled.
in the taskbar find the security program running and then right click it’s icon and select disable until restarttry running dugi installer and try upading or reinstalling, if there’s an error that appears please screenshot it and attach here.
because if it does it with the security prigram disabled then that would indicate to me that your dugi installer could possibly be corrupted
I noticed that you have posted a lot of errors, can you please ensure that DugiGuides is the only addon loaded. I apologize if this was done before, for the sake of troubleshooting please comply.
If the issue still occurs, please type in /dugi fixAlternatively please run the dugi installer and ensure that your website username and password is entered correctly, should see Welcome, Creepshow!
Click Reinstall.See image_2023-01-28_153524387.png
No errorsPlease try /dugi fix, can you also ensure that DugiGuides is the only addon enabled.
Sure! You can find the discord server link in Support tab.
You can see mods online at the top, Dugi and I are the mods. You can post messages in the server under general or you can direct message either of us, we will answer as soon as we are able.mgbaker7 said:just updated and missing Dragonflight completelyIn the dugi installer, ensure that your username and password is correct, should see Welcome, mgbaker7!
Type in chat /dugi reset, that should fix it.
If you do resub, don’t hesitate to join our Discord server, in there you can get quicker support or any question asked can be answered, you are also welcome to direct message myself or Dugi anytime.
Ah sorry, the sub should have them in there, its the others in modules that are extra, my bad.
9.0.5 is Shadowlands, so yes the subscription will include that as well.
However most other guides would need to pay for them, like dailies and achievements would need to be bought.
If you don’t like the guides for what ever reason you can open a ticket and you can then get refunded, in most cases you would need to explain why, considering that these guides are checked constantly, respectfully this would need to be answered.Oh my! that’s not normal. Do you use a third party anti virus / security application by any chance? Like Avast or AVG or TrendMicro to name a few.
If you are, try to + Allow App “DugiGuides_1.5.3.exe”
Each of the third party applications have their own areas where this resides, a google search “How to allow app in {name of security software}” replace name of security software with something like Avast. If the security software does not support that feature then add “DugiGuides_1.5.3.exe” in to the Exceptions. A google search like “How to exclude an application in {name of security software}”.
Normally, installing two antivirus programs on the one machine can cause something like this, Windows 10 or 11 already has an antivirus called Windows Defender, this can be disabled. Though according to the Microsoft documentation on Windows Defender, it’s supposed to auto detect and disable itself to allow the third party software to work, but my tests prove that it doesn’t completely disable. To test, try disabling your third party security software and then run DugiGuides_1.5.3.exe and try to do an update or reinstall.
If it still crashes, then try looking at the paths. Click on the Settings button and then check the following paths:
- Retail = PathWorld of Warcraft_retail_
- Classic TBC/Wrath = PathWorld of Warcraft_classic_
- Classic = PathWorld of Warcraft_classic_era_
Don’t forget, if you don’t have Classic TBC/Wrath and/or Classic Era you can check the boxes “Ignore TBC” or “Ignore Classic Era”.
Test again with third party security disabled. Can you please tell me What version of windows are you using? Windows 10 or Windows 11
