Dugi did release version 1.5.3 which should stop the battle.net app updating every time you install or update Dugi Guides. You can re-enable “Start installer when Windows starts” in the installer Settings.
Looking at the settings now, the settings that you’d want are:
/dugi config
Questing tab
Auto Track Local Quest = unchecked
Auto Quest Tracking = ticked
Display
Automatic Quest Matching = untickedGood luck!nadaji said:This is happening in Zygor as well. I’m assuming it’s because of the new update.Yes, it’s the changes that Blizzard made within Dragonflight which has triggered these lua errors, it’s not just Dugi Guides or Zygor, its pretty much every addon. I can ensure you that Dugi and his staff are working really hard to sort these errors out and to provide content for when Blizzard releases the Dracthyr and then release of Dragonflight.
You may need to disable Map Preview, a fix for this is still on the way. I am sure Dugi will announce when these issues are fixed, but bare in mind we are very busy getting things ready for the Dracthyr Patch and the Launch Day. (see the Dragonflight-Dates file.)
Yes it is possible to do other quests outside the current guide, be aware that blizzard has a limit, and this is 25. This can also be overwhelming even for the most experienced players.
Yes the quests can be added to the Objectives Frame, if they aren’t by default, check the Dugi Guides Settings, there should be options in there to allow quest tracking outside the guides etc. I can’t exactly remember the options. I am away from the computer. I hope this helps you, feel free to pop questions.November 3, 2022 at 4:00 pm in reply to: WOW trys to update after installing new version of Dugi’s guides #170096The dugi installer 1.5.2 at this stage installs the addons with the attribute “Read Only” which has been identified as the reason why this occurs. For now refrain from using it, if it’s running or starts when Windows starts, click the Settings button and un-tick “Start installer when Windows starts”. You can re enable this once Dugi releases 1.5.3.- Head to your Members area and download the .zip package for the Retail client. Save it to the desktop.
- Right click on the .zip package and select option Extract to “DugiGuides Retail 9.004”.
- Double click the newly created folder “DugiGuides Retail 9.004” and copy the DugisGuideViewerZ folder.
- Locate to your game path, by default it is: C:Program Files (x86)World of Warcraft_retail_InterfaceAddOns
- If there’s an existing DugisGuideViewerZ folder, click on it and hit Del.
- While still in your AddOns folder you can use CTRL + V to paste the DugisGuideViewerZ that was copied to your clipboard earlier.
- Repeat steps 1 to 6 for the other clients, except the folders will change:
Wrath = C:Program Files (x86)World of Warcraft_classic_InterfaceAddOns
Classic Era = C:Program Files (x86)World of Warcraft_classic_era_InterfaceAddOns
The reason why I told you to refrain from using the installer, is because it’s causing so my issues with the battle.net app and that the addon is blank while you are in the game. I really hope this will help you, please pop back with the result.November 3, 2022 at 7:57 am in reply to: WOW trys to update after installing new version of Dugi’s guides #170098I am so sorry, it’s been really busy as of late.elric1976 said:I’m not sure why it keeps doing this but when I update Dugi Guides and close out the game to restart, the WOW launcher starts an update that sits on initializing and never starts. When I uninstalled Dugi’s Guide it did the update and I was able to start the game. Any idea why it keeps doing this?I appreciate the help.
Dugi has found the cause of this and has made necessary changes, this will be added to the next update for the Installer, keep an eye in the Members area for that.elric1976 said:Basically I am unable to update Dugi GuidesCan you please explain this a bit more?
Has anyone tried /console scriptErrors 0 followed by /reload?
For retail 9.004 at this stage it is not possible, simply put, the new Dragonflgiht Pre patch UI does not allow Dugi guides to attach to the Quest Objective Frames, that’s why “Anchored Small Frame” is greyed out in the settings.
Not exactly sure what you mean that you did it on your main character because it’s not able to be done, yet.Are you able to head to Dugiguides Discord server?

deeg said:doing shadow of uul quest in highmountain and the guid is trying to get me to go too suramar but the quest objective is in frosthoof watch!! think the gps is maybe a bit off tooI am sorry, I have no idea what you are trying to say, 1. That quest does not quest exit. 2. The guide name is not clear. Can you please provide at lease one of the following:- Guide Name you are using.
- Quest name – the spelling needs to be exact. or provide the quest id if known.
Once I get the above I’ll look in to this. I am sorry, currently I can’t do much.
Yes, update to 9.0004 for retail and it’s set like this by default for the time being. You didn’t specify which client so I automatically assumed retail. To get back the old-style arrow, go to Settings > Dugi Arrow and disable Icon Arrow.
Once you’ve done that, find the arrow on the screen, drag it into position, and if using Dragonflight, select Edit Mode (ESC > Edit Mode), then check the Grid box.
Once the arrow is in place, right click it while holding down CTRL, then click the Lock Arrow option.
You may need to load up a guide and tick steps until a zone map displays. Repeat the process for the zone map. There seems to be a bug with the icon arrow.Dugi said:when the arrow turns into using item like hearthstone it takes the last
position of the icon arrow which then displaces the zone map.Dugi is looking in to this and a fix will be implemented.Hope this was helpful. It’s an easy fix, move the Small Frame away from the Objective Tracker.
Not a bug, the frames are separate from the objective tracker because of the Dragonflight pre patch has prevented original feature to be fixed like it used to be. Please bare with us as we fix that feature. Please read this for more information – https://www.dugiguides.com/dugi-dragonflight-pre-patch-update-now-available -
