Nice find, that does not belong there and should delete that.
      I attached the fixed file.
Extract it and overwrite the old one

I understand how frustrating it is to have a continual lua error, however this is not intended. I have already messaged Dugi for when he is up and ready for work he will look in to this and hopefully a fix will be posted. Until then, there’s very little we can do.
We are all human and mistakes can be made, please have some respect and patience

It’s my pleasure. I’m glad that you resolved that annoyance.

That is the Target button, you can disable it by going to Settings > Target Button and then untick Target Button.
To move the Target Button, uncheck Fixed Mode. Move the button to desired location.

Alternatively, you can type /Dugi Reset which will reset all frames to their default locations.

              Got the same problem

              Hi deaddoll, welcome to Dugiguides.

Can you please provide me with some more information as to what’s happening for you?
I really would like to help you, however, coming in to someone else’s threat stating that you have the same problem is not much information to go by.

Also, can you please open a Windows Terminal or PowerShell window ‘as Administrator’ and type in the following.

Browse to the location where DugiGuides_1.5.2.exe resides / exists.

              CD <drive:><path>

              Without the ‘<>’.

              For Example: cd D:Desktop

Type the following to get the MD5.

What is MD5? you may ask.
MD5 is a hashing algorithm that accepts any length message as input and returns a fixed-length digest value that can be used to authenticate the original file or message as output.

              CertUtil -hashfile DugiGuides_1.5.2.exe MD5

Once you hit enter, you should see the following

              MD5 hash of DugiGuides_1.5.2.exe:
              3586409b777b9e11f5f9a8c2ce1e7b69
              CertUtil: -hashfile command completed successfully.

Now, compare my result with yours, if 3586409b777b9e11f5f9a8c2ce1e7b69 does not match, there may be an issue with the browser. I’ll dive deeper in to that once I get a confirmation from you with more information.

For now I just want to make sure that the file is not corrupt and we can then move on to the next step.

It looks to me the Sharing is still enabled.

Type in /dugi config, while in the settings under Guide Sharing Beta, and remove any player names in the list.

Let me know if that fixes it.

                  –Edit–
I made a major change to the instructions after reading the error message for the third time.

Hi cyclone701, I am sorry that you are experiencing some issues. Have you tried to reinstall the addon using Dugi Guides Installer?

Thanks for reporting this. I have fixed the issue and proceeded to check the future quests and fixed issues in there as well. I have submitted the fixes to Dugi.

I made another account and this did not happen.
I caught the Stormwind Rat, exited WOW, deleted Cache, Interface, WTF folders.
I re-entered the game and unchecked collected and the Stormwind Rat no longer appears on the map as intended. A pet battle was not necessary to trigger the map to show correctly.
I caught several qualities, including poor, which I repeated above in order for the map display correctly.
I released poor and caught common, I then repeated above in order for the map display correctly.
I released common and caught rare, I then repeated above in order for the map display correctly.

I also repeated the above without deleting folder’s as Dugi said earlier, a relog or reload

                        /console ReloadUI
                        or
                        /ReloadUI

I’m not sure why it’s not working for you.

I am not sure what’s going on here, I am unable to replicate this issue even on different characters and other accounts.

                            I have tested yet again.
Tracked Pets > Collected & Not Collected checked.
                            See file “image_2022-08-14-182817956.png”

Tracked Pets > Collected unchecked and Not Collected checked.
                            See “image_2022-08-14-183011364.png”

Clearly it’s working because I have already collected the Stormwind Rat.

I am going to test on another account the quality of the battle pets, because I have three types of Stormwind Rat, poor, common and rare all at level 25.

Well in that case, the “Not Collected” should do the trick.
Able to post up a screenshot of the setting e.g. like my “image_2022-08-10154414816.png” and another showing the icons in question?

After researching this for a while I would like to point out the following important things.

                                1. Do NOT download any *free* software like Download Managers or software like “Restoro PC Repair Tool”.
                                2. Do NOT replace any file/s of Windows installation.

Installing any software that claim that can fix windows issues is a scam. They will give you false positives to indicate there are numerous problems with your pc / laptop and may seem it fixes a small handful and will then proceed to ask for you to pay to “fix” the rest. They are only interested in your wallet / bank account and should be avoided.

Never go to any unknown, untrusted websites and download and replace any .dll file on any installation of windows. This is very dangerous that can introduce malware / viruses on your computer.

The best thing you can do is do the following:

                                1. Reset your Browser, google search “How to reset <name_of_browser>”. Replace <name_of_browser> with the name of the browser like Firefox.
                                2. Ensure that your antivirus software is up to date, click Check for Updates.
                                3. Do a full scan of the PC / Laptop.
                                4. Reboot PC / Laptop.
                                5. Open Command Prompt as Administrator.
                                6. Type in:
                                  SLC /ScanNow
                                7. After that is finished, type in:
                                  DISM /Online /Cleanup-Image /ScanHealth
                                8. Reboot PC / Laptop.
                                9. Temporarily Disable the Antivirus / Security software.

                                Reset Internet Security settings:

                                1. Search for Internet Options.
                                2. Click on Security tab.
                                3. Click on Custom level… button.
                                4. Ensure File Download is set to Enable.
                                5. Scroll down the list further to Miscellaneous.
                                6. Ensure that Launching applications and unsafe files is set to Prompt (recommended).
                                7. Click Ok button.

                                Check Internet Settings:

                                1. Search for Internet Options.
                                2. Click on the Advanced tab.
                                3. Under Security, ensure that Do not save encrypted pages to disk is Unchecked.
                                4. Click Ok button.

If none of these worked, the worst case scenario would be to reset windows.

                                1. Click on Start.
                                2. Open Settings.
                                3. Open Update & Security.
                                4. Choose Recovery.
                                5. Click on Get Started under the Reset this PC option.
                                6. Click on Keep my files.
                                7. After the procedure is finished, you’ll end up with a fresh copy of Windows.

This is all on the top of my head, please forgive me if some steps is not correct etc. I would like to advise to never download/run Windows Registry files and do not edit the Windows Registry unless you know exactly what it is and what it does. You can find most explanations of them in Microsoft Knowledge Database, if unfamiliar with, it can take a long time to find.

I thought I would provide more details and other options to rectify the issue and I wish you all the best with this. If you are still unable to download the installer please let me know.

Try disabling your antivirus security software. Refer to your antivirus website for documentation on how to accomplish this. Once antivirus software is temporarily disabled, try downloading Dugi Guides Installer again.
