Thanks for the reply. I managed to work this out after exploring through the settings. The different naming of “battlemap” and “zone map” are not intuitive to me finding this setting.
It would be helpful to rename one, or make the setting clearer.
I am glad that you worked it out.The Zone Map is exactly that, it shows when you need to enter another zone, it’s intention was not to be exacly the same as the shift – m map, but small enough to not take up too much realestate on the screen. As for the timed quest, not sure if that can be added to the guide frames, I will ask Dugi.@nathanb The new style arrow can’t be moved, you can only change the size it rotates around the character (Size slider bar to the right of Icon Arrow; default 7).
Reference to the new arrow system is hereUnder Dugi Arrow > Icon Arrow (uncheck) will make the old style arrow to re-appear
type /dugi reset to reset the arrow back to center of screen, you can then move that arrow where you want it, and then lock in to place by right clicking or ctrl + right click and selecting Lock.
I hope this helpsBack in the day they were separate, they were all combined a long time ago. I did a search in-game “Loremaster” and the result was Legion and Shadowlands but they will tell you to load up the normal leveling guides anyway, that’s because as all the guides covers loremaster. I hope that helps
I would look for the loremaster in wowhead.com and use an addon called quest completist, if you’re looking for a specific quest you can type /qc and search by name etc. Quest completist will also show ! on the big map.
If you fire up some of the guides it should start flagging quests that are complete, you may need to manually tick of some steps. It should find quests that aren’t completed, there’s good info in wowhead.com, if you’re stuck look at the comments.
You’re always welcome to post in here, most of us skilled folk would try to point you in the right direction.
I wish you luckBack in the day it was detected. Most of us got our legendary cloaks thank you Dugi, the guides for that was great btw
Not sure where to look, I am sure Dugi will notice this and investigate.ragectl said:How can I get rid of this “Battle map” annoying mini-map clone on my screen? You can disable “Zone Map” by going in to Dugi Settings > Dugi Zone Map > Uncheck Enable Zone Map.
ragectl said:Also a question regarding the guides and the timed quests – does the window not track the quest timers?I picked up a timed quest in The Crossroads to take to Thunder Bluff but I couldn’t see the timer in the Dugi tracker window? The name of the quest is?
To start Boralis you would need to find Chromie and speak to her.
- Look for a hour glass on the Stormwind map; (you will need to be in Stormwind.)
- Speak to Chromie and she will offer expansions, hopefully from that screen you can select Battle for Azeroth.
- You an ignore or abandon the quest she gives.
If the guides didnt detect Chromie time, open up the main window and in the search field type in Chromie Time and click on the guide.
You could just load up the Battle for Azeroth and load up the intro guide if you haven’t done that on another character before.I hope that helps and that you enjoy the BFA storyline. All the best!
What’s you’re character’s current level?
Ensure that you add DugiGuides_1.5.0.exe to you’re security program’s exclusions and unblock it or remove it from the virus vault if it’s gone in there.
If the installer still crashes run this command line in CMD.exe
get-filehash -Algorithm MD5 "{path}DugiGuides_1.5.0.exe"
{path} is where you have DugiGuides_1.5.0.exe stored.
The Hash should match this
5BEF794D309A1646841769662A6B2EE2
If it does not match, delete the file and then empty Recycle Bin, go to Dugiguides members area and redownload the installer, run the above command again and check.
Ensure that compatibility options remain default, the installer does not need any compatibility configs for it to run, esp in Win10
In the installer ensure that you have entered your username (forum username, not email) and password. Then check the game paths, if not sure, click Autodetect. After that, click on the Okay button, You should see Welcome, wolkenlaufer if entered correctly. Click the reinstall.
If the guides are still trial, I would advise you to verify the membership or make a ticket here https://www.dugiguides.com/amember/helpdeskIf it’s not all characters then I would start with backing up your macros and then remove them for the character that has this issue. Sometimes macros can cause issues such as fps drops etc.
Thanks for your patience on this, I am waiting for Dugi because my suspicions is something with in the addon for classic.
My process was looking at possibly client side, then I immediately remember the video, the issue does not exist with no addons, if it were client side the issue in the video would be seen whilst with no addons.Nah that’s all good mate, you did very well on the first and it is a perfect example of what you are experiencing, I feel sorry cos I cant help any further.
dozi said:Hi,i will back up my WTF and AddOns folder later and just install DugiAddon, that should also clear out my macros.
Oh yeah, I forgot that you can do that
@dozi Thank you for posting the video for us, great work! it’s clearly shown that no addons was enabled and demonstrated no addons and with dugiguides enabled, yes a clear 10+ fps drops.
If macros are important for you then I would first look at copying each macro and placing them in a txt file for now and then delete all macros.
/m and then click on a macro and then click the delete button this is for both General Macros and {Character_Name} Specific Macros.
Once all is deleted, try what you did before, I know that you have a Addon Manager and what I am going to suggest will be slower as you would need to wait out the 20 second logout timer.
When you come to disable the addons it is still actually running in the background, issuing /camp and then un-checking the addon from the addons tab is the designed way, and will be the suggested way for now.
In the character select screen use the addons tab and ensure all addons are disabled except dugi guides and check again for any fps drops, if that is still true then we will need to examine that video footage and work out what else is happening.@Dugi Any ideas from what you can see from the video?
I hope what I came up with already may or may not help, for now it’s the best I can think of. I will think real hard on that for a bit.@dozi Thank you for letting us know about the setting, Dugi is right it could be a contributor, we now know that it’s disabled, we can then eliminate that from our list.
Zone could have an impact, depending on how cluttered they are etc.
Thank you for considering to make a video, even if it’s your first time, it will greatly help us understand what’s going on.
If you need any assistance we are here to help.Does it occur while DugiGuides is disabled?
Perhaps try and capture this in a video whilst showing addons in the character select screen followed with gameplay. You can use obs studio, there are guides on youtube that help with how to set it up and with settings.
You can then use handbrake to squash that video file down in size, there are guides on youtube that help with settings.
Finally, you can then host it on youtube, click the visibility box and then select share privately and then link the video url in here. 😉
