No you’re not, it’s just not time to do those quest yet you need to step back and see the elephant.
wellnice said:I would even say if you finish every single guide you are always some levels ahead.
This is what was expected, earliest version of our in-game guide date back to WOTLK where blizzard already made ton improvements to leveling XP already along with, more flight masters, quest changes and quest additions in the Classic area from BC expansion eg Mudsprocket quest hub in Dustwallow marsh does not exist in Classic.
Our old version of the guide even skipped a number of zones completely, the guide was pretty much unusable to us which is why we had to rebuild the entire guide from scratch adding as much quest as we can, believe me when I say this is not a copy and pasted guide.
fixed, thank you for reporting

might be the ‘deleted macro’ part that did the trick – perhaps the dugi team can confirm if that’s what the actual real cause.
might also be the new patch to 1.025 that did it too?
regardless, waiting on confirmation on whether there’s anything else we can help with as far as testing goes, or should we head over to this post again, if the issue araise..
thank you very much for the tests, have you tried it again with the same condition as your original video that produced the FPS drop ? is it still happening after you replace the macros back?
hoodlum said:i have the same fps drops after deleting all macros in /macros. So i think thats not the solution for me 😐Edit1: after /reload ive got more fps but the fps drops comes after some minutes
are you sure all macros are all gone? there are 2 tabs, General and specific, can you double check
wellnice said:Maybe you can add a little sentence into the “next guide” window that says “if you switch to the new guide it will be harder” or “It is suggested to complete each guide”.Guess that’s not a big effort and helps several people.
I’m going to remove guide suggest on level up, so that it doesn’t suggest guide whenever you level, only suggest when you complete a guide.
wellnice said:here that for the first time. Thought it is recommended for fastest progression to switch as soon as the guide suggests it.can’t do really do that in WoW classic, fastest progression is hard mode so you’ve been playing in hard mode and you’re complaining to me that its too hard.
wellnice said:selects, the guide simply sends him sooner/later into the next area.In my case, i’m level 40 and i can’t down the rock elementals as a single warrior in badlands for “Study of the Elements:Rock”. They are 43-44…ridiculous to recommend this to a lvl 40 player. The rocks are level 42-44 range, you should have been able to kill the level 42 rocks easy as you should be level 41 by then as well.
wellnice said:You didn’t understood what i was saying.I mean for example in your guide you recommend players (no matter which class) to go to badlands for 40-41.
40-41 is the minimum level range, it doesn’t mean that as soon as you hit level 40 you should move to Badlands, you can still use Badlands 40-41 at 44 or if you want
the only way for you to stay in “EASY” mode is to complete every guide 100%
have you both been completing the guides 100% or did you skip as soon as you pass the level range?
If you didn’t finish each guide 100% then you will have problems, because you don’t have all the pre-quest and will end up skipping quest and not gaining enough XP to continue.
we’ll fix that up
we’ve been trying to fix but didn’t have success because of the way the npc interact in WoW Classic is different than WoW Retail, we’ll keep trying
fixed for next build thank you
we’re completed guides up to level 50 at the moment, you should be good until then
wellnice said:I’ll tell you! Do it as other ingame guides do and let the user select the difficulty whether he/she wants green/yellow/red quests.Or give recommendations like “we detected you are playing warrior, as this is the hardest class to level, we suggest…..” and simply do all the questing areas with 1 character level higher.
Problem solved.
that’s not a leveling guide that’s just using questie, you’ll end up running back and forth doing 1 quest at a time, that would make you happy ?
icchan841 said:if there are certain things you’d like me to do in a specific order, or add more tests, let me know and i’ll do them all.thank you for helping.
can you test the following
1. delete all macros etc in your general and specific, (back them up) and test without any macros
2. test without any guide loaded, (dugi addon show no guide loaded)
3. try going to the dugisguideviewerz addon folder and rename target.lua to target1.lua and /reload , you get a file missing error but you can ignore it. This will remove the target button module completely which is really the only part of the addon that uses the macro system.
4. can you also test with a brand new character. -
