The problem is not getting the right-click menu up. Like I wrote, even when the arrow is unlocked via right-click menu I cannot move it anymore. I can move the area-map via its headline, though. The arrow also still keeps moving around for me.For me the arrow cannot be moved anymore, regardless of it being unlocked.Zone map still still is movable, though, which can be used as a workaround to move the arrow along with it.No, but the frame does not jump every time a new guide is loaded, just sometimes.Expand up is disabled, but as soon as this option is switched (on or off) the non-integrated small frame (or integrated OT) immediately jumps to the default OT position.Small frame also still keeps moving around with each reload.
Will this be fixed then (including the now moving area map/arrow? DG is the only addon that keeps moving around on my screen and I have many installed.
I am sorry, but the Search button I meant turned out not to be part of DWS (but Auctionator). Hope this did not waste too much time.
12 hours is not exactly very long. People do sleep and such.
May be related or not: When the small frame is *not* embedded into the OT then moving the OT does not follow the mouse movement. Instead the OT window moves slower across the screen than the mouse-pointer. Not so with the small frame.
This is an animated GIF. First showing OT not moving when no guide is loaded, then showing OT (+embedded small frame) moving when a guide is loaded. At one point the OT vanishes entirely from screen. Only DG + Elvui addons loaded. And since the new icon arrow has been introduced the zone map + arrow started moving between reloads, too (when icon arrow is disabled).Generally it stays in place when I start Wow with an empty guide. But I just loaded the Enchanting guide and the window instantly jumped up to the default Blizzard position (beneath my minimap).I also had it jump down at one point (but only vertically).I noticed 8.943 being out now. Will give it a try to see if this fixes the issue.
Great news. This has been a nuisance for quite some time.
I did some tests. Blizzard UI scale is disabled when ElvUI scale is enabled. So Elvui supersedes Blizzard, which is also the reason why Elvui removes the Blizzard UI scale setting entirely from the Blizzard Graphics settings dialog now.DG small window is moves around every time when UI scale is changed by either Blizzard or Elvui. I don’t know if scaling is the real culprit here, but knowing it is one possible candidate. Kaliel’s tracker does not move around after reloads, so whatever DG does different seems incompatible with Elvui.Seems like Elvui’s UI scale setting is independent of WoW UI scale and Elvui scale changes is what affects the DG small frame directly. When I set Elvui UI scale to 0.8 then its own saved variables list:["UIScale"] = 0.8,},["uiScale"] = "0.64999997615814",Both my Classic and Retail installations use the following setting:2560×1600 px, UI scale 0.64 according to Elvui, uiScale “0.64999997615814” according to CVar (config.wtf). When I change Elvui scale it does not change config.wtf, but Elvui states that the setting is per user and I did not find the corresponding per user settings file yet.UI scale does affect small window placement, so there could be a rounding issue. For comparison: Kaliel’s tracker does not move relative to the minimap when UI scale is changed, so there are different implementations.Your video demonstrates how the small frame moved towards the lower left edge. Before reload at 0:28After reload 0:34 -
