I’m proud to announce that our brand new automatic installer / updater is now available for Windows XP, Vista, 7 and Mac OS X. You can now use this special installer to automatically update your Dugi Guides before you play WoW.
The installer will be able to accept your Dugi Guides (dugiguides.com) login and password, to automatically install all your purchased guides with one click.
With the release of this installer we will no longer send you anymore ‘Update’ emails on bug fixing. You can simply check for updates instantly by loading the installer before you play, and details of the update will be available in the log.
OK go download it right now in the download area, and tell us what you think by posting on the comment section below.

Works perfectly win 7 32bit nice work, but i am getting a new system in a couple of weeks and it seems its a problem with the 64 bit systems so hopefully this is fixed.
I think we have resolve the issue with Windows not loading,
Delete the old file if you still have it and please try this latest version.

We are still looking into the mac issue, make sure you check for latest Java update for mac by clicking the Apple icon on the top left corner of your screen and click ‘Software Update’
Yep, I have same problem. Mac version will not install.
Yep, nothings working here either!
Another FYI. WIN7 32bit. enabled JAVA logging. The app doesn’t kick off the logger at all, just doesn’t do anything. Tested logger at the sun site and it does indeed come up when JAVA starts. The installer app doesn’t kick it off though. Sorry if to much info, just trying to help.
Running Win7 32bit here, 1st time it started and asked me to install Java (as I had just done a new win install a couple of days ago). Installed Java to latest version, now the installer wont run at all, nothing much happens, just a little hard drive activity. I have tried running it from different places, different access, na da! Andrew.
I have to echo the same comments. I’m running Windows 7 Home Premium 32 bit and selecting “run as admin” or not doesn’t work. Dont give up on the email updates I say Dugi. Id prefer to manually install them if its going to be a problem getting this working 🙁
This does not work at all to me as well. I have tried suggestions below but did not work. am using Windows 7 64 bits. This is too bad.
Glad it is not just me. I updated Java and rebooted as well. the only thing that lauches in task mgr is javaw.exe then it just closes. XP SP3 with all updates.
I just noticed that the file downloaded was not the full 8 + Mb…so maybe you need to upload it again to your web server
Mine was 1.42 Mb… just noticed that
Mine is 8.59mb
still nothing in 7. Original was outside of c:\users but did not work. So far file is in C:\dugis guides ( my backup file), c:\world of warcraft, c:\world of warcraft\interface, C:\world of warcraft\interface\addons. Have ran as admin in all locations, I get nothing. never tries to come up
Launching on Win 7 x64 results in no visual launch. Javaw will launch briefly in the process manager and then close itself once it hits roughly 34mb of ram. No errors or other information is shown.
Thanks for the hard work, hope it’s up and running soon.
WinXP SP3 & this install doesn’t do a thing. I tried it in the WoW directory as well. Still nothing. I do have the latest Java required.
For Windows 7
Try right clicking and run on Admin mode. Otherwise try copying the file to your World of Warcraft directory and run it again.
For Mac
Try this Jar version
https://www.ultimatewowguide.com/installer/DugiGuides_Mac.jar
Done both, still nothing happens.
Just downloaded the Mac version. When i try to run it, i receive the following Java error : Uncaught exception in main method: java.lang.NoClassDefFoundError: com/sun/syndication/io/XmlReader
My only option is to quit the window..
Getting the same “Uncaught exception in main method: java.lang.NoClassDefFoundError: com/sun/syndication/io/XmlReader” error on my Mac.
Nothing happens for the windows version. Click on it, WIN 7 asks if I want to allow changes. I say yes and it goes away. Nothing happens. Just an FYI
I am having the same problem as Matthew. I also run Windows 7. When I try to install the downloader nothing happens. I am asked for permission and I click yes then nothing.

JAVA?? really??? I’m sure I’ll love the installer but as a field service tech all I can say is that I spend half my time fixing jave/application issues. This already told me I didn’t have Java when of course I did. Question is what did this update break on the other apps on my computer…. Love the concept, but JAVA just bites. Thanks though Dugi… Great guide and great job, just my two cents
I am on Windows 7 64bit, Everytime i click the installer nothing happens. I don’t get anything to come up on my screen and task manager. Anyway to fix this?
Try right clicking and run on Admin mode. Otherwise try copying the file to your World of Warcraft directory and run it again.
I just tried both, still not working >.<
copy the file outside your c:\users\ directory, i think it is a security issue.
Nope that doesn’t work too. I put it on my C drive.
I m having the same problem, when i click to run the program nothing happens, I am on Windows 7 64bit too. Hope this is fixed soon.
Having the same issue here as well… Win 7 64bit
Oh and FYI I tried all the suggested fixes… still no go 🙁
Same, the exe wont run??
